We went to this park on the weekend awhile back and it was so super busy. As we walked around, we were told several times to leave by people setting up big parties-so not very friendly. However, I imagine that when it's not quite so busy, that it's a great place to hang out-it has a big free splash pad free, a skatepark, huge sports fields (a little patchy and muddy, but big) and tons of spots for picnics, both on the ground under trees or at tables. We may go back to check this one out during the day since it looks so nice!

Can't give 5 stars, since some patchy grass here and there. Greens were consistent and not too bumpy, hey it's a SoCal course, out isn't going to be Augusta. I have not played in a long time, and this was a great return to the game. I appreciated the nice starter and cashier at the turn. Great service. Watch out for the squirrels. They get hungry and may follow you around.

A foggy morning but the park looked great. A lovely duck pond with so many ducks and geese. Squirrels everywhere all waiting to be fed. Fishing. Skateboarding area.

This park is a nice place to visit during Spring. You get to see so many ducklings walking, and swimming with their parents. The park on itself is ok, it’s a good place to come and get some exercise. It’s nice to see the little lake in the middle of the park, while you’re walking. And it’s also a nice place to watch the sunset. But be ready to hear all the noise from the ducks, and also be careful not to step on all their droppings. Although I don’t mind all the droppings on the park, I mean it comes with the territory, what I do mind it’s all the trash in the water. People have managed to make this park a mess. There’s also certain areas of the park where the homeless like to hang out, so just be aware of that. They seem to be minding their own business, but just figured I should mention that. There’s free parking in the park.

After a lot of Google searches and reading, the best answer I could find was two feet to twenty six feet at the lake's deepest. At one time many years ago, people use to swim in that lake. The park and lake have a pretty interesting history. Worth reading about.
The water is not clean and there are some problems with the ducks and geese poop all around the lake side which ends in the water. They clean every morning but needs cleaning around the clock.
When will the pond stock catfish

Step in and retrieve it. The water is not deep. But, the bottom is very muddy and filled with goose and duck poop. Be very careful to wash your feet aterwards. An alcohol foot bath is suggested.

The recreation staff should be able to answer your question..
Only on the gated area. They charge for that area and it's by reservation. Outside of that no permission reservation needed
Officially, sunrise to sunset. Though the parking lot is open longer. Also some of the amenities, like the water play park for kids, opens significantly later. 9 or 10 AM I believe. ALSO, if you're planning on walking or biking or picnicing in the morning, WARNING. They have the ANNOYING habit of running the SPRINKLERS well after sunrise, when people are already using the park. If I were a parent and my kid on rollerblades or a scooter hit a wet spot and fell, I'd waste no time suing the city for this incompentent nonsense.
