I don't know how many times I been here and everytime I love it more and more. U start among trees, walking along the creek, then as u start going up a little, ur surroundings start to change from luscious green to dry cactus plains. Then after a good walk u come to the famous rock in shape of an eagle, where everyone loves to take lots and lots of pictures, mingle, take a break, eat a snack and then go back. Enjoy

6.4 miles round trip. Starts uphill and same path back is downhill. Half is exposed to the sun in the desert, so its hot, bring sunscreen, hat, sunglasses. Bring plenty of water and a picnic for enjoying at the Eagle rock. There is a road very near to the Eagle in case you want to get picked up or dropped off! ;) Please pack out all of your trash. Stay on the trail, since there is poison oak near the creek bed. Watch out for snakes. Enjoy Gods creation and have a great hike friends!

OMG! That was one of the best hike I've done! I enjoyed it very much! It was chilly so bundle up. But the air was fresh! I went through the canyon with the trees...then out in the open in the desert... walked up the hill.. such vast opening with the mountains surrounding...beautiful!

Very easy trail , after 2miles and half there will be no trees , very hot , and beautiful views, I used pacific Crest trail. Very clean well maintained  , there will be many options trails looks like short cap but I did not used for safe because is easy to be lost , there's is also cows on the trail . You will reach eagle rock after 3miles and half,  the entrance is by the private gate next to fired station #52 ,  park you car on the side road in front of the fired station , I used my pass adventure but I don't think you need it. Just close the gate there will be 3 gate , and hiking 🚶‍♂️  now Google map will send to CAMINO SAN IGNACIO Rd. Do not used the entrance they will give a ticket  .. 2 ticket 1 for the parking and other to access a private property.. be smart.., but do not used . And enjoy there will be many rocks  formation,  I saw a heart ❤ unbelievable..  take some snack with you , for a reason I was so hungry,  and I'm not usually eat on my hiking adventures but in there I was so hungry,  lucky me I hot some crackers but  take something with you...
