Spa experience is great, but you can only schedule that experience by phone. You can book a hotel room online, you can book a table at their restaurant online, but spa appointments only by talking with a live agent. And surprise surprise, they are short staffed, and work limited hours. It took 4-5 calls before I got a live person 1st time to book our appointment. Then we needed to make a change. Called again many times over next 2-3 days, finally started leaving voice mail messages. Call back next day went to my voice mail with message to call back. Of course when I called back I get their recording and voice mail. I finally had to drive to the spa IN PERSON to speak with a live person. In today's digital world having to fight through this archaic and outdated approach to doing business is very frustrating and easily fixed. Please get an online reservation system like the rest of the modern hospitality world.

The spa at La Costa is definitely not your average hotel spa. Combine five star service with meticulously maintained and landscaped grounds with reasonably (for a resort) priced spa services, and you get La Costa. The pools are warm, the drinks are delicious, the food is very good (not awesome, but it is poolside) and the massages are super relaxing and refreshing. La Costa, despite being an older resort, has successfully kept its facilities updated and beautiful. I highly recommend it and we'll definitely be going back.

This is by far one of my favorite spas to visit when I'm in Carlsbad. All their products are wonderful,top of the line cutting edge with alot of class.. and if u can't take it with you,they will ship it... That's great!!
