Very enjoyable staff. Quite informative, local history explained. Pleasant ride along an incredible section of rail leading us along the mountain side with an area called the "Trough", a beautiful river, on the opposite side.

They have a fantastic staff - eager to make the trip fun and relaxing. Scenic views and great history on the area. We saw eagles and eagles' nests. The standard meal was plenty, but I am sure the other meals are good too. The all day ride to Petersburg is a gem.

Very worthwhile experience! We rode the standard coach on the 3 hr Trough Trip. The scenery in the “trough“ (gorge) is beautiful and we saw a few eagles. We enjoyed spending some of our time on the observation car which gives you a better view of the scenery and an outdoor feel. You are allowed to walk to the observation car at anytime of the trip. Our young children also had a great time. Would highly recommend this train ride.

We went here for their North Pole Express ride; the kids really enjoyed it and the interactive hosts really added to the ambiance! Go when you get a chance and enjoy the ambiance!

They do have special train rides. I would call them and ask if they have one coming up in the Spring.
I got mine as a package from from my PBS Station. It was well worth it. I helped my community, rode the train and took a different couple for each Train. Stayed at the local B&B and made memories. This is the best way to get your tickets. 🤠
It is a grassy field, so if it has been raining, be careful of muddy spots
Only Club Car, 1st class have reserved seating for obvious reasons. All other seating on the train is 1st come 1st served.
The rides are three hours long - the club car is 110.00 per adult and the coach is 50.00 adult 45.00 senior and child is 20.00 and the all day trips are almost double
Snack bar on the train, gift shop along side of the tracks beyond the ticket booth.
