Another Hidden Gem !!! Located in Santa Ana, O.C., it’s pretty close to the downtown area. The museum has an amazing collection of Polynesian artifacts, which I think is the main draw of this museum. It also features a little bit of Chinese, Hispanic, early California and some Mission pieces and the way things are curated are easy on the senses. They also added some thematic music to the exhibit rooms that added to the overall vibe as if you’re being taken back in the time and this was one of my personal favorites of my visit because museums usually don’t play music in their galleries. The museum’s architecture is patterned after the early California Missions but the entrance is modern. The gift shop is nice and there is also a restaurant on site. There is ample parking across or you can do street parking as long as you’re conscious of the allotted time. I also wanted to add that they did a neat exhibit on Mt. Everest. Lastly, dedicating a gallery for California’s budding artists is the way to go, so Congratulations!!! May I suggest if they can include educators to their discounted entry, that’s a win. Bring the family and enjoy!

Was able to check out the Disney Archives exhibit in May 2021 and was blown away with all of the items on display. Really presented well and enjoyed the entire experience. I look forward to returning again for additional exhibits. Not a bad drive from either San Diego or LA.

Beautiful exhibits. Detailed information for the items per exhibits. Time well spent today! Most of the pics are of the Chinese Dynasty exhibit. One is the Pieces of 8 necklace from one of the the Pirate's movie, Disney Crown Jewels exhibit.

Very detailed museum. A lot of different exhibits and all of them were interesting. The rooms are spacious, too, so it doesn't feel cramped.

No , there is a separate entrance.
No additional fee. The only exhibition with a special charge currently is the Empress Dowager Cixi
They have a store. Not sure what you mean by artifacts.
Yes
I don't know if you can use another catering service in front of the museum. It might interfere with their business. You'll have to ask the museum officials.
It wasn't crowded. It sounds like no problem from what I observed! : )
Agreed ... there great people ... you can check in with your phone as well ... your ID ... is fine... ENJOY
When I went on sat 3/27 it was open. They limit how many people that go inside. We went into the store around ~330pm so I'm assuming it will stay open as late as the museum
It changes for whatever exhibit is going on at the time.
The current exhibit right now is Guo Pei: Couture Beyond, Gemstone carving, California Bounty and Sacred Realms.
No for seniors is 10 and for adults it's 13. For kids ,12 and under free.
Not sure. Call them
Right outside the fence under the trees, you are welcome to, for free. If you come in and buy tickets, you can eat inside the courtyard.
No, it's a great museum. Even when there are events, it's pretty relaxed.
Probably will be, check their website. Great little museum with some really great exhibits lately.
Im not sure about ebt. We did get a senior citizens discount.
Website says senior citizens discount. That's all we saw. We felt there could of been more exibits and shouldn't have to pay for a extra exibit. Plus pay to park there. 6 or 7 dollars.
Yeah, that's accurate. You can check their website for the calendar, it should tell you there for sure.
Included but similar to the regular museum, the kidseum has special exhibitions witch require an additional ticket purchase.
Not sure. You should call and ask.
If you head a mile down Broadway you'll find more upscale places in the Artist's Village neighborhood
Depends on the day, age, and the event. Check out their website.
I would call and ask. Probably depends on what tickets are for.
Calling is a good idea
Try the website. www.bowers.org This is a forum of people who have visited. Good luck!
