We had nothing but a wonderful experience. The staff are kind and it is very obvious they love animals. We were blindly referred to them from WV because our 6 yr old Shih Tzu experienced a terrible complete jaw fracture. They were thorough and kept in touch with us once she was given anesthesia and the surgeon, Dr. Emily Ward, was the one to contact us afterwards. She explained what she had done and then gave us at home instructions and told a tech would contact us when she was ready to go home. We took our Lucy home with a wired jaw and an acrylic brace for 6 weeks. We did everything they told us and after a small hiccup, she had it removed June 27, 2022. We highly recommend them for any of your pet needs.

MedVet saved my 3 year old lab, Parker! He was rushed to Medvet with a 50/50 chance of survival due to sepsis. Dr. Maritato is a miracle worker! Not to mention the ICU staff was so caring and understanding. Special shout out to Allie for answering my 5000 questions and sending me pictures. Also, Shannon did a fantastic job with our discharge instruction and was very thorough. I couldn’t recommend this vet enough, thank you for saving my doggo! ♥️

MedVet in Cincinnati is a two hour drive from our home in Lexington, KY, but they have helped us tremendously when no one else could. My dog developed meningitis and we knew we needed to see a neurologist for a diagnosis. She was in terrible pain and our local vet couldn’t do anything more for her. They sent me to Metrovet in Louisville, who wouldn’t let us see their neurologist; they didn’t consider her a true emergency because she could still stand up. MedVet got us in to see Dr. Slanina in a timely manner and we made the long drive. They took a very detailed history and looked at all the photos and videos that I had taken at home. Then they kept our dog overnight and did imaging the next morning. It was expensive but now we have a diagnosis and there is an excellent chance our dog will recover. If it weren’t for the doctors at MedVet I would’ve had to euthanize her. They sent all the records to my regular vet, who called me and told me what a fantastic job they had done. I recommend them to anyone who needs specialty care.

I took my dog to MedVet Cincinnati when she was unable to walk. The doctors and staff in the ER were very compassionate. When my dog was transferred to internal medicine, the situation was not the same. I felt that the doctor(resident) was not caring of my situation. Rather, she was pushing me to spend more money. She made me feel guilty for only wanting supportive care for my 12 1/2-year-old dog. I got the feeling that she was trying to get me to spend more money. In the end I decided to bring my girl home for her final day. After I decided this, I received a text message confirming an appointment with the doctor for the following week. I was also sent home with a week's worth of medicine that I would not use. (My bill was adjusted so that I was not charged for this.) Additionally, the wrong name was in my final paperwork. I had to call and request that it be corrected. Finally, when I did receive my final bill the dates were incorrect. They reflected dates for after my dog had passed. All in all, I was very disappointed in the care and treatment by the staff of internal medicine.

Unfortunately we do not. We do however except Care Credit. Which is a loan meant to be paid back over 6 months. You can apply online or fill out a form in hospital and the receptionist will do the rest for you.

They do not. Medvet is a ER and specialty hospital. I would try pets in need I know they can help.
