I had an unfortunate accident that broke a bone in my hip. It was a severe and unusual break, however, my surgeon was confident, and did an amazing job in regards to my surgery. Every doctor assigned to me was so knowledgeable and compassionate. The nurses were all amazing at guiding me towards the path to recovery. I also can’t praise my PT trainers enough. I feel very fortunate to have been treated here at Scripp’s La Jolla. I thank each and every person that I met at this hospital and cared for me. You truly made a difference in my life in my ability to conquer this unfortunate accident. Thank you very, very much.

I was on vacation from eastern Virginia. After one day I developed extreme pain in my lower right stomach. At first they thought it was my appendix but it ended up being an extreme inflammation of that part of the intestines. I had to be hospitalized. I had to not enjoy vacation with my adult children and granddaughter and because of work commitments they had to leave on Sunday. Of course my husband stayed with me. The ER was not good. We waited 4 hours in horrific pain while others they perceived needed more help than me went first. When I was seen in ER and until I was released 4 days later everyone was super nice and very attentive from aids to nurses and doctors. I was very pleased with the care.

My experience at this hospital is the best I've ever had in my life. From beginning to end the staff were exceptional, caring, and off the charts competent. I couldn't recommend this hospital high enough. You will not be sorry you came here. I was in the middle of a heart attack when I arrived at the ED. I was immediately attended to and within 15 minutes or so I was on my way to surgery. Your speedy attention probably saved my life. Thank you Dr. Khadivi and your assistants for a perfect surgery, I am deeply grateful to God for all of you. Pastor Don Carson

Me and my wife has a very good experience with Dr. Sean Daneshmand, Lauren Roberson, Amita Jain, full nurse staff including RN Sarah , Ilma, Kelly and Jane who are always ready to help and make us comfortable in every need. I’m highly recommend this entire staff unit for next visit to make it pleasant. Looking forward to visit again after 20 weeks.

If it's strictly memory and memory alone, you may want to consider a geriatric doctor. Now all the same if memory isn't the only issue and it's accompanied by motor skill problems, from there you want to consider a neurologist. A psychiatrist is best suited if there are behaviors where past traumatic events could effect the person's behavior and memory alike. Keep in mind that each of the aforementioned can reference another practice if it's something beyond memory; but to start, id suggest a geriatric physican. I hope this helps
Suggestion, contact your doctor's office and request prescription be sent to your correct pharmacy. This way at refill, you have no problems.
Pardon me for sounding condescending (not my intention) but did you call the hospital?
No they do not.
Hi there, this depends on the patient's situation and unique needs.
Sorry don't know. Feel free to call Scripps Main Hospital number

Hi JoAnn, yes. We are accepting new patients.
Not at this point in time.
Scripps is experiencing a cyber security incident. Our technical teams and vendor partners are working tirelessly to resolve issues related to the cyber incident as quickly as possible.
Actually, Scripps is not affiliated with any university.
Scripps is offering the COVID-19 vaccine to eligible patients with a MyScripps account. We have a limited supply available at this time, so appointments are being offered on a first-come, first-served basis through MyScripps. Eligibility is based on California state guidelines. Additional appointment slots will be added as more vaccines become available. Please do not call your physician’s office as they cannot schedule these vaccines.
Not yet. As soon as they become available patients will be notified to schedule an app
As soon as the State releases the vaccines and the SD County public health department approves. Until then, none of the SD hospitals will proceed with vaccinating the public. SCRIPPS patients will be notified through the app of when they can schedule an app for the vaccine.

If you're permanently disabled and have a handicapped placard, they park your vehicle via valet for free. I just found this out, myself.
Yes, they do in the main hospital.
Prebys bldg is just to the right of the main bldg if you are looking at it from the street. Park underground, valet or bldg c parking
In the new main building.
For local parking
It's against the law for patient's info to be made public, without the patient's consent. I think you should look up HIPPA so you get a better idea about the rules 😀.
It's the main building. It looks the oldest so that's how you know.
As long as it’s not any ICU or oncology floor. That’s really nice 👍🏼
It was like 30 min free $4 for a couple hours but dont park overnight we came out to a busted out back window and our stuff stolen....pretty pathetic the have 0 security. The nurses told us that its common problem.
Different perspectives: -Building beside/attached to the Prebys building. -Six story building beside the Schatzel building. - If you are pulling into the roundabout/patient drop off circle, it will be the first building to the right.
