(Side note) the customer in front of me was a difficult one (I'm in retail, I know difficult) and the manager handled himself so amazing 👏🏼 I was so impressed with his patience and professionalism. So many choices! This store has a huge selection of beverages--beer, wine, spirits, hard seltzer, etc. The staff members are friendly and helpful too. In the photo are peanut butter flavored whiskey--there are several choices!

This review is primarily for John Penate. I was very fortunate to meet John when the store first opened. WOW, he is incredible!!! Every subsequent visit to the store I request his assistance with total success in the choices he recommends. If John is not working, then I do not shop and I return when he is. His knowledge of wines is extraordinary!! He also advised on spirits when I needed a gift. John is extremely pleasant, patient and kind. He will always ask questions to determine what is best for my palate. The best of service when I need assistance in selecting wine. I do not have time to meander and make my own selections. I ask John to take the lead and thankfully we expeditiously work through the isles and I am in and out in 10-15 minutes. Thank you for coming to San Diego and hiring John!!

They have a huge selection of wines and a large selection of beers and liquors. The layout of the store is well thought out. With the tasting counters, it has more of a vineyard visiting experience as opposed to just being a store. We were very happy with their imported beer, Lambic, and cider pricing, which was about 20% cheaper than our last visit to BevMo. There were lots of employees roaming around and eager to help. If you ask where you can find something, they just don't tell you, they take you there and stay to see if you need any other assistance. Hopefully they'll open more stores throughout San Diego county.
