I know of two instances that this convalescent home discharges people with medical conditions to the streets. Wonder if they would treat their parents the same way. Obviously very poor discharge planning when an individual with a medical condition is put out on the streets.

Wednesdays with AMO

This place looks NOTHING like the pictures. Overcrowded and smells terrible. I genuinely feel bad for the staff and patients. 3 people per tiny room can't be sanitary. Walking in had the same atmosphere as a horror movie insane asylum, people scooting themselves across halls in wheelchairs, unnerving grunting and moaning coming from some rooms. The staff we saw when we went to get my grandfather's things were friendly, I appreciated that. The owners of this place need to wake up. The level of care my grandfather received was horrid, but now it is clear to me that the staff is so overwhelmed they don't have the time. (Again, they seemed nice)They need to stop accepting new patients because there is clearly not enough room for the ones they have.

They ostracize, neglect, and emotionally and physically abuse my closest friend at this facility. Unconscionable treatment of a vulnerable person. Do NOT leave your loved ones there. The more vulnerable they are, the more abused they will become. And that is my opinion.

Lemon Grove Care and Rehab is one of the best skilled rehabilitation center in the area. The nursing staff were very nice and friendly. Diana CNA or Miss D as she is famously known for in the facility is well loved by staff and her residents. She was very helpful and went out of her way to help us. Thank you Lemon Grove for all you do!
