My father-in-law was placed in this facility by a family member. Having worked in facilities like this before and also having watched my mother, father and uncle pass away in facilities like this, I have experience with the way things should be done. This facility is disgusting. The nurses, CNAs and other workers, while extremely friendly and caring are completely overworked and it shows in the filth surrounding the place. A diarrhea soaked pillow sat on the floor of my father-in-law's room (after they had to disimpact) him for over an hour and a half until I told someone to remove it. The dirty gloves used laid on the floor for another 3 days. Dirty wash towels with diarrhea on them were left in the sink in his bathroom more than once for hours until I told someone to remove them. It took us 3 days to get laxatives for him even though he was in great pain from being constipated. The furniture is old and beat to heck. His room didn't even have a screen and the nurse kept insisting it be left shut so bugs wouldn't get in even though he wanted the fresh air. I could go on and on. If you are considering putting someone in this facility I would certainly think twice and try to find somewhere else.

I regret signing the waiver stating I would not sue them. I stayed in JHC for 14 days, during that time they changed the address on my EBT and Medical without my permission which led to me losing my state Medical benefits.

They have an excellent and caring staff. It is well-run and clean. Smells nice - which is always an important ‘tell’ for how a long term care facility takes care of itself and everyone there. The staff is attentive and friendly. I’m glad my life-long friend is able to recuperate there

I am very happy that we decided on having my partner move to Jacobs Hlth Care Cntr. The staff is very professional. They are aware of individual needs. They work closely with you to ensure that they meet the needs of individuals that are within their care. No place is perfect. But I've found at Jacobs, communication is imperative in having to address the different issues that may come up, especially when you have so many different types of clientele/patients that they receive. I've had no problem with the staff. It's all about finding solutions. Thank you very much.
