The ambience here is outstanding. There was live entertainment featuring a duet act of 2 guys on guitars playing old favorites. The wine was good and grapes are all locally sourced. The winemaker came over and gave us some info. Amazing experience.

We arrived and it says wait to be seated. It's not busy n one can see. Guy asked if we have reservations. Not posted they were needed. We ordered and server asked for a credit card. This wsnt great customer service.

Though Southern California isn’t as renowned for its wineries as the central portion of the state, it has undergone a wine renaissance of sorts in recent years. Located on Summit Drive in Escondido, about 20 kilometers southeast of Vista, Hungry Hawks Vineyard was founded in 2009 and grows more than a dozen varieties of grapes along the San Pasqual Valley. Hungry Hawks is considered a boutique winery. It offers visitors a variety of activity options, including vineyard and production facility tours and tastings. Even for casual wine drinkers, they’re great ways to spend a relaxing few hours immersed in amazing scenery, learning about wines and how to detect their subtle nuances.

Came here on a whim. Decided we needed some wine in our lives. Coming from Charlotte NC, the views are breath taking, but the wine blows it away there's a reason that wine enthusiast loves this place. If you're in the area, I'd recommend swinging by!
