Clean old gravel pit and a nice place to fish. It is an old gravel pit so it's a big bowl with little to no structure or cover so Crappie fishing is really hit or miss.

Nice lake but nothing was biting but a really nice lake...

The bike/walking path unfortunately does not go around the lake, so it is an out and back walk. The path is on the narrow side and has numerous pavement bumps due to tree roots. It is an old gravel pit lake with clear , low turbidity water. It has a boat ramp< I am not sure it power boats are allowed. Bank fishing is allowed along the same side as the bike trail, but the other side is off limits if you don't have a boat. The place is closed to fishing throughout the winter This park is about 1.5 miles south of the current southern terminus of the Great Miami Trail, which is continuous from Water Works Park in Fairfield up to Rentschler Forest in North Hamilton, a distance of about 11 miles. This trail is often closed due to high water from the dam just south of Hamilton to the next dam, just north of Hamilton.

Beautiful clear stocked lake. Great for getting out on your kayak to tool around and fish or float. Lots of grassy areas in lake so bait accordingly! Easy loading with ability to pull vehicle down to water to unload. Friendly guys working there.
