This was the first time I've been to this particular donation center. The Google maps directions say to turn from Hawthorne onto Sunnyview but there is no entrance there. You want to turn into their one and only driveway off of Hawthorne. Once parked you will be screened just inside the first set of doors. Once you have been screened you walk inside another set of doors and onto your right to check in at the front desk. There will be a waiting area behind you. The waiting area is clean and comfortable with social distancing of 6 feet in place. Once you are CV allied you will be led to a screening room. The screening room is very clean and discreet. The lady who did my screening was knowledgeable and very thorough. After screening you will be led to a donation chair. I donated power Red since I am RH negative. My phlebotomist was a lovely lady who stayed by my side and gave clear instructions throughout the whole donation process and she only had to poke me once and got it on her first try. After you donate you will be asked to sit up and wait a minute or two before heading to some tables and chairs for snacks. You will be offered juice and water and there will be an array of snacks to choose from. After 15 minutes you will be free to go about your day. I found that the whole place was clean and met my every need. They kept with social distancing guidelines. All in all I would recommend this place 100%.

I drove over 60 miles to donate blood here after a bad experience at a local place. Friendly staff, smooth process, worth the drive.

I've been donating at this center for almost two years but recently it seems like I get paired with phlebotomists that have barely started. My last donation he was still counting his donors and today I went in and my phlebotomist was so new she wasn't even wearing scrubs. They consistently miss my veins and for the first time in 8 years I had to leave without donating because they kept missing....I know people need patients to get trained properly, but I'm tired of being bruised after donating. Before the past couple of months, I loved this center and this never happened, but now I'm hesitant to come back.

I doubt that it provides any protection or has any impact.
Hey there! We will be at the new location on Hawthorne starting Friday, so please arrive there. Thank you! ARC Staff.
They are. Do be sure to make an appointment though.
Very likely yes. There are many other factors to determine eligibility, but not allergies. The only allergy they are concerned about us to alcohol based products on skin or iodine for disinfecting the puncture site. See American Red Cross Rapid Pass if you would like to see the health history questions or download the Blood Donor app on your phone. Hope this helps.
