Living here in town I find that well. This is the only place to go see movies. As usual. You know concessions are always a bit too expensive and I do wish they had reclining seats. But overall I've always had a good experience at the regal Cinema here in Medina, Ohio.

So this experience will definitely be a me experience and not quite fitting for most. The last time I was at a movie theatre was at South Park Mall watching Moana with my wife and son (2016). Now the real kicker, I haven't been to the theatre in Regal Medina since Larry The Cable Guy: Health Inspector (2006). Now this had nothing to do with the theatre itself. That being said, I greatly remember a before and after from when I was 14 to now 30. First let's start with the outside appearance, over the years the outside has definitely been weathered and seen better days. When you walk in you are greeted/ not really by the autonomous ticket booths. Basically a fancy ATM to buy tickets. As you walk in it's pretty empty and sparse, seems like people either don't have time for movie theatre anymore or they'd rather watch it at home. The arcade became smaller over the years, but no one goes to a theatre for arcade games. They do have this party room that is new to me, not sure how long it's been there though. As always and as expected the food/snacks are expensive. The place was pretty empty remind you for the first day release of the new Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, so I expected to get my large popcorn and large soda relatively quick. Well that's where I ran into a bit of inconvenience, though they had 4 people working and there was like maybe 15 people with groups/families being 4-5. The workers definitely seemed like they were working for $10 an hour. I don't know what they actually get but they did not seem happy, they were what seemed like purposely slow, except an older employee. Overall I was second in line and waited 12 minutes for a large popcorn and large soda. Now I know it doesn't seem like a long time but when all you have to do is scoop the popcorn and dispense the soda it shouldn't take more than 5. Remind you they hardly had anyone and really seemed like they were dragging butt. Now I finally got my popcorn but it had black specs all over it from when I'm guessing popcorn burned and they never cleaned it. At this point of the movie almost starting I didn't even bother and I had a large soda to wash the hint of burnt popcorn down. After that everything was quite nice, I prefer theatres with little to no people, makes it seem personal and you can enjoy it with out some possible disturbance. The theatre definitely has changed from when I was a kid but I honestly don't see theatres or at least this one lasting much longer. Especially when people would rather stream at home.

The greater at the entrance was the best experience. We purchased our movie tickets and a large popcorn. Ordered the popcorn with butter and requested to salt the popcorn prior to to having the butter added. The boy was adding the butter to half of the container of popcorn and ignored my request to add the salt first. Finally he turns around and says to me it is already salted, what does it matter. He and the girl from the register seemed to refuse to let me salt my own popcorn before buttering it. They tried adding the fine orange salt. I reaised my voice to say no that is not what i asked for. They absolutely refused to acknowledge me or my request. Where was the customer service? They were not going to eat it or pay for it. I have NEVER had any other movie theater give me a hard time with my request. Salting the popcorn before adding butter salts it all over. If you butter to it first the salt sits on top of the butter making it so salty you can't eat it and then no salt in other areas. It ends up the boy never buttered the top. My husband left the movie to have it buttered. Medina please train your staff the importance of customer service. We will never return to this location. Our family agrees to come north to the cobblestone location. BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Regal Medina was great. The door greeter was especially nice and helpful. 4 adults, 1 child, snacks, drinks, and a large popcorn runs about $100 but we each got candy. 🍬 🍭. Honestly not too bad. We had our choice of seats and the place was very clean; both the lobby and theater. We'll definitely go back.
