Not a fan of the MLK center, especially since the name of the East Central Community Center was changed to MLK. There was no need to take over the center that had existed over forty something years for what’s going on now.

OMG the most recent Google review is over a year ago! Of course everything has changed since then. I care for my disabled wife and we're both so humbled and grateful for the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. / Eastside Community Center Food Bank. Easy registration is required; they accept all zip codes in Spokane. It's presently open on Mondays and Wednesdays at 1 PM. Just drive up in your car about 12:45, and park as directed. Don't get out: once you are waved into position, just pop the trunk for contactless service. (They recommend you clean the junk out of your trunk.)

The ECAP early head start called the cops on the mother of one of the children and had them taken away from her over bruises on the childs face caused by a sibling. The mother explained this to the staff and they still called the police!!! I am shocked!!!

I went to this community center referenced by a friend. After the first initial meeting, I called and wanted to rent the kitchen for possible catering events and to produce for my business, But, the past two days are very insulting. they are very unprofessional, and as I was wanting to talk to an administrator in charge, the receptionist was talking down to me that i didnt want to discuss the detail with her. what really bothers me is that the people that help under privilledge people start to embrace this unique uppity attitude, and begin to regress becoming a problem communicating to for wanting professionalism. when i said that im a customer, i should be talked to courteously, she what do you think this place is. If there customer service is like that, imagine if you've had a problem. If your gonna rent a kitchen or anything else from this facility, make it your absolute last option, especially if you want professionalism. they made me feel like minorities are less so they talk to you with no respect
