When I tell you that when we go to Disneyland the main thing we're excited for is this place. I kind of wish I was joking. We tell everyone about it too! The portions are huge, the food is amazing and after a long day walking in the park you really can't ask for a better meal. The mac salad is amazing. Every meat we've ordered has been tender and juicy. The chicken katsu is our go too. We order the big plates so we have left overs the next day we love it that much! You won't be disappointed, I promise.

After the usual, frustrating, enervating, yearly slog, called the tax preparation process, (paying nearly $40.00 for the online "convenience" of Tax Act) I ended up with zero rebate, no chance to e-file (for some reason), and needing to print the completed returns. (because a Microsoft update ruined my printer functionality years ago) In the same shopping strip as Staples, is a Hawaiian BBQ. They offer a Loco Moco that beats any of the others I've had. It is a rare treat to eat here. The last time I did, (my first time, actually), was shortly after Covid brought on isolation. Today, I decided to reward myself. The Loco Moco was as good (and as BIG) as I remembered it. It is a bit more expensive than most Loco Mocos, but twice as big and definitely worth the price. (nearly $20.00 if you get a large drink too) This Loco Moco gives you two large, very beefy hamburger pattys, (with brown gravy) two large eggs, two scoops of white rice, leafy cabbage, and a large scoop of macaroni salad. Make sure you have an empty stomach! Of course, the place has other menu items; staples, and a few specialties, but The Loco Moco is my personal favorite. Otherwise; the place is kept very clean, the drinks are from a self-serve dispenser, (refills are thus, not a problem) and the staff is professional and friendly. Took the sting from the tax grind off a bit. As Agent Dale Cooper once advised on the 1980's TV show Twin Peaks: "Treat yourself to a present everyday." For me, today's present was a Loco Moco at Aloha Hawaiian BBQ.

I've stopped in on numerous occasions over the years and have observed lack of enthusiasm with customers and customer service is fairly absent. It's a disappointing experience, however, I still return for the food. The food PORTIONS are GREAT for either multiple meals for one or sharable with another person. My personal favorite meal here is the Katsu chicken🐔 plate which includes a scoop of macaroni, scoop of rice🍚, and cabbage🥬. Nice work with food quality consistency🙌, however, a slight adjustment with the cashier's engagement with customers and I believe you would see a noticable difference in business💹.

I've been a happy customer for 2 years until today. Sat 6/26/21 at 4:46pm I spent $31, I was trying to phone in my order but nobody answered, I tried many times. Finally I arrived ordered and " My native ppl were working". I heard the cook telling the clerk that the orders out in the counter were getting cold. The cook kept trying to catch a glimpse of a beautiful girl sitting in the restaurant. I waited a while to get my food. Got home and the beef was cold , dry and a bit tasteless. The rice was sticky with a bit of a crunch. I got a whole bunch of cabbage underneath the beef almost 1/3 of cabbage. Side of macaroni salad was old tasting not good. I want my $ back and im going to Ono bbq next time.
