Today, our 6-8th grade YMCA Day Camp groups met with Randy at the Spokane Hatchery. He introduced us to the many varieties of trout this hatchery grows and where we learned that they are responsible for 40% of the fish grown and planted in our Washington lakes! Randy said they grow 8 million trout a year! Our group enjoyed the informational tour, video, seeing the many holding ponds of various size trout, and especially feeding them! I highly recommend this fun, interactive outting for your scout, school or family group! Thank you Randy and the Spokane Hatchery. Mama Bear and Tapatio
