A full day ahead of me to work. Great! I'm on deadline for an important project and today needs to be productive. I'm gonna crush it! 830am, open my laptop - source code is burned onto the monitor. WTH. I can't see anything. This is not good. Try a dozen things. Restarts. Safe Mode. Prayer. Nothing helps. 930am, I race to Friendly Computers. Glen asks me a bunch of questions. No line, nobody in front of me. I'm in-and-out in 8 minutes. He acts like this happens all the time. I'm starting to feel better. I go home and work on a desktop. Which is annoying, but still mildly productive. 1100am, get a phone call from Dan - the technician. He explains everything, offers options, and tells me it'll be ready soon. 1230, I head back in. Pick up a (now) PERFECT laptop. Life has returned to normal. I went with Dan's more thorough suggestions - and I'm SO glad I did. The machine is working better than ever. And I didn't lose much time. I crush the rest of the day, hit my Saturday deadline, and win the Power Ball. Well... at least the first two. So far. Glen and Dan were awesome. The COMPLETE opposite of "Nick Burns, Computer Guy" (SNL - google it). I've used Geek Squad in the past. And while I think Best Buy is great, and Tracy (the GM of the Valley store) is the nicest person ever... ...this miserable situation could not have gone any better. Glen and Dan are ninjas. Thank you, gentlemen.

Oops, once you get taken you give someone a one star! I got a used laptop computer that had very little working advantages. I paid too much also. They are expensive on maintenance issues also. I think one of the employees is friendly...but I have not met them!

Easy to work with. Reasonable prices. Quick turnaround time. All very important. I was only down a computer 1 day for them to get everything repaired/replaced. This is the second time I have bought a refurbished computer from them and both experiences were great.

The staff is friendly, responsive to my needs. The guys were really helpful, fast in their service, and well worth the money. I would definitely use their services again. I came in with my non-functioning computer and the guys were quick in analyzing the problem, a broken hard drive. They were able to capture all my old documents and other data on my hard drive. When I brought in a brand new laptop, they were able to transfer all the data. Nothing is missing. I was really impressed with their work. I will certainly recommend them to anyone else needing help with their computer.

Hello, I called this morning about my computer and was told that it may be able to be fixed at the counter, but would that still cost me the same rate as if I left it there for an hour? Thanks in advance.

Not sure why one of my techs said we can fix at the front counter since it is a desktop. I'll look into that. Laptop yes, we can usually turn on and if it's a quick fix we don't charge. If we bring a computer into the shop we do charge a fee. Give a call on Monday at the valley store early and chat with Lucas. I don't know if your issue is simple or complicated. Bad part, installation issue, or? We do not have the insight to the problem until we see it and talk. The hour is hands on not just in the shop. We work on a first in first out basis so that people get thier equipment back in order of us receiving it to be fair. If you brought it in it could be 1 day before we can get to work on it. Our typical turn around is 3 to 5 days depending on what all we have to do and if parts are involved.
