This area offers a great view of the Palouse and surround areas!! Do not be deterred by the lack of signs. You will pass a shooting range, please advise gunshots can be heard from the entire conservation area on weekends. Google maps has the location marked on private property approximately 1 mile before the entrance so be sure to keep on the dirt road till it ends.Do not turn off of Belmont for any reason! This area is surrounded by private roads and property.

Went today and the weather was good for early January. Snow level was low and easily traversed over until about 1 mile from the top and the wind picked up along with quite a bit of ice on the road so we needed to turn back for safety reasons. Otherwise, a great hike

Beautiful hike. They've laid down heavy gravel making bike rides difficult at this time, until it gets packed down well enough. No vehicles allowed unless you have a key and a reason to be up there. Tremendous view from the top at 5200 feet
