Took a day trip to meet with friends who were camping for the week. The beach area is small but nice with space to set up chairs & umbrellas. There is a dock that extends to 25' or so deep which is good for jumpoffs, but the shore is shallow enough for Littles to play under supervision safely. The bathroom facilities are clean & there are fire & picnic amenities, plus hiking trails. Priest is less developed than other Idaho lakes which makes it quieter & more picturesque. The $14 daily fee for Washingtonians is double the $7 Idaho fee, but not ridiculous.

Awesome location. Amazing waterfront. You need to reserve early! Most camp sites are not too close together.

Absolutely stunning place, clean campground, lovely family friendly campsites.

This is the best campsite in the United States. Removed from most of the world's distractions this site sits on the the Northern tip of Priest Lake. The are plenty of things to do or you can just lay out on the beach with your favorite book and relax.

Definitely no cell reception with Verizon or T Mobile at Lionhead
Lionhead is typically open for camping until the first snow, Indian Creek is open year round.
U must know . U were there. The tent sites are probly 20 ..the big one down the road are 45 so the tent ones are what? 20? U were not there i n Aug. So no idea if fires in small r allowed this Aug..
Allow 2 hours and 15 minutes should be enough...
It is a medium grain sand that covers a fairly large area. The sand extends up onto a few of the camp sites. The dog beach also has sand but just not as large of an area.
You can buy firewood at each kiosk at each entry to the campgrounds. It is $5 per bag or bundle of pre-split wood although you might want to split it down a little more especially for kindling. We found that most bundles had enough wood for either a morning , afternoon fire or a nightime fire but not both. i went through about 3 bags while we stayed over 3 days but i was also given some firewood as people left.
It,s not close. Those 2 campgrounds are a long way apart on that awful washboatd road. And that store is very high. If u want lots of amenities go to Indian.
good luck chuck
