They had a unit opening up about 5 months ago. I submitted my application along with the required monies. About 2 months later, I was notified the unit is no longer available, the tenant had decided not to move. The only reason I was able to find this out was sending several emails and phone calls. I finally got a hold of them and he told me I can come in and get my checks. I went to the office to pick them up and the office was closed because of Covid. One month later, the manager calls to say there is another unit opening up in the middle of March and asks if I am interested. I said yes. The manager stated that he was going to cash the checks and run my application. Yesterday I called because I have not heard from him and he stated he rented the unit out to someone else. He said they paid the 300.00 hold fee. I told him he never told me I needed to pay the fee. Then he stated that he doesn't have my application. When I stated I have several emails showing you do. He stated he found it, he apologizes. He works by himself and there must have been some confusion, but I cannot have the unit. They are very unprofessional. Now I am back to looking for another place.

Manager Mike repaired the issues I had with the furnace and hot water tank in my apartment in a timely manner. The floors squeak alot and my neighbor makes alot of noise but on the plus side I have not had any bug issues so Idk what that one person is talking about! With the rent going up 30 dollars and me not really needing all this space I have decided not to renew my lease.

First let me say this about Jefferson Commons!! Great neighborhood, Great place to live! A place where you can meet great friends. There are NO ROACHES!!! Really don’t believe a person said that, if you had them then they came with you!!! No roaches!!! I have lived here for 8 years and have never had one. As far as maintenance, you put a work order in and it gets done!! As far as when I moved in there were no problems with my apartment.

First let me start by saying this... It has been TERRIBLE since day one. We were given a move in date which was changed a total of 3 times with no more than 4 days notice each time. When we finally moved in thats when it all went downhill.. the doors are not hinged properly.. the stairs have no railings.. the disherwasher was improperly installed an the inside melted and created a horrible smell in the apartment for days. There were roaches.. there toilet was DIRTY upon moving in. missing towel racks.. and the upstairs master shower had a massive hole in it which sprayed up at the ceiling.. then when that was fixed the drain overflowed everywhere with a horrible smell and piles of hair.. the fridge leaked all over the floor from day one.. and the AC was down for days. After writing these things on the move in form we were told that all these things werent like this before we moved in. MMM?? OK?? It definetly was SINCE THAT DAY the "landlord" mediocre live on site maintainence man has given us HELL. We were told we could use the visitor spots.. FALSE.. we were towed..because we are residents not visitors... we were told that we could park across tussing at the business that it was approved with them... again!! FALSE. towed again. He has had an issue with everything we have told him. Still to this day our linen closet door is not attached.. MOST of the plugs in the house do not work.. and DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED on the state of the NASTY air ducts which "are too expensive to clean" and have yet to be acknowledge.. even though i have a child with ASTHMA. I will attach a pic of the air duct. MORAL OF THE STORY!! DO NOT RENT HERE!!
