Hello-I just moved in the Tussing Place Community. I love my apartment. Miranda was a great manager. She was patient and kind as my husband and I transition into our apartment. However, I have some concerns about the parking. If you want to up scale these apartments, residents should have their own parking space or a garage because we are the tenants. A lot of times when I come home from work, there is no parking available. THIS IS NOT FAIR TO HARD WORKING TENANTS!!! I suggest having a parking space for every tenant (painting their apartment number) in a parking space and having visitors park in a designated parking area. If the parking spaces are violated, then there should be a fine. I understand apartment living, however, tenants need to respect and consider their neighbors!!! Thank you!

I was adamant about completing a review because I am pretty private , and I usually will state my opinion in private, but I really wish that I had a review to look at prior to living here. To begin, I absolutely love the look of my apartment , and I loved the prior manager John because he was so much more understanding than the current one. I purposely waited to move to Tussing Place because I loved how spacious the apartment was, and I figured that although we are across the street from Pheasant Run, that , it wouldn’t make a difference because hey, we are in the Pickerington/Reynoldsburg area right? - Negative. The outside shell is beautiful but the team running the apartment complex must believe that we are living in subsidized housing. The parking is by far the worst, and some days I come home and there are no parking spots because you have one neighbor who has 6 cars, and another neighbor who has 5 roommates with 5 different cars. The online website is very tricky, my electric bill is sky high... I am paying more for this apartment than I did when I lived in a 3 bedroom house , which means the insulation sucks. Where is my water meter ? Oh , yes we were told it’s divided by all the residents , which is funny because the water hose runs most of the day out back. The electric company APL are scammers and come to find out Ardent Communities owns part of APL... so we are forced to use a company who’s customer service is never available. The community won’t last long at the rate it’s going. A group of kids were standing outside around my car using very bad language while my window was open and my 3 year old could hear it. There is only one trash compactor and God forbid one of the residents forgets how to use it , there will be a note on everyone’s door. I feel like when I address my concerns , I am always referred to my lease and what section the “ rules “ can be found in. I feel like that the management company wants to fill all of the units , so they are just renting to anyone. As a leasing manager , why put young kids who party all night and fight with their boyfriend in the same building as older people who may be retired ? You can also hear your neighbor sneeze and cough , and I get the pleasure of listening to a crying baby most hours of the night . There isn’t even a drop box for your rent so by the time I get home the leasing office is closed ...which means I have to wait until the weekend to get an actual person . Yes , I am writing this post out of anger , but who goes through this when they’ve only been living in a community since December 2018? I’ve attempted to voice my concerns to the management but I have yet to get a return call or at least acknowledgment of my issues. And please do not respond and ask me to come to the office to have my issues addressed because I’ve voiced my concern and I am talked to like I am a welfare recipient on section 8- and even if I were, nobody deserves to be treated this way. My honest opinion is this ... I love how spacious my apartment is , but that’s about it and I do not have plans to renew. Update : Ardent ( Tussing Place ) is violating so many tenant laws, one of which “ threatening to evict me over a water bill that they can’t prove belongs to me “. The water bill is “split up” amongst all tenants , and because I asked for proof that I used that much water , I received a letter on my door , not in in an envelope that threatens to evict me ! 3/5/2020 Let me tell you about the crooks at Ardent Properties. Nowhere in my lease does it state that my security deposit can be used to pay my last electric and water bill. These mfers took my deposit and paid my last water and electric bill. I’ve filed a complaint with the attorney generals office as well as the better business bureau . I have also called the corporate office and conveniently my calls are not being answered .

I’ve tried plenty of times giving this complex the benefit of the doubt but dealing with them gets frustrating day by day. I believe these apartments were put together way too fast. Walls are very thin, you can hear your neighbors conversations, arguments and even heard my neighbors tv shows. Parking is a tight squeeze. Things in my complex started falling apart so easily and the paint is very cheap which leaves scuffs with the slightest scratch against the walls. Kids from across the street came over during the summer and vandalized the property, they came to our pool cussing, making scenes, had management come out threatening to call the cops. They sent out a lease letter asking if we were renewing or not DAYS AFTER our 60 day time frame so that was a fine. Currently I am trying to pay my last months rent and they decided to make a portal in the middle of December to pay rent and manage your account, they emailed my partner saying we had to email them back to get access to the portal to pay instead of just sending it to us. we’ve attempted multiple times within the past 3 days to get in contact with someone & I can’t seem to get in contact with anyone in the office. Every attempt the office is closed and the online hours say they’re open. Called corporate & the girl basically cut me off, told me to hold and transferred my called and of course no one answered. This was the very first apartment my partner and I moved into and they just made our experience living there very frustrating. I am very disappointed with this complex.

Honesty Moment! Yes the apartments are beautiful, yes the price point totally makes sense ....but, the management team is very tricky. They sway you and are very welcoming when you view the apartment, but once you are in, it feels like you are in jail. Every other day there is a new threat posted on your door because of mistakes that other neighbors make. They fine you for breathing air , there is only one trash compactor on site...if you just so happen to pay your rent late, they post a HUGE note on your door for the entire apartment complex to see. They put orange stickers on visitors cars...the visitor parking is not clearly marked, but it is almost like you can't have visitors.... You can hear everything from your neighbors apartments.....tv's, water running, washer and dryers. Yes the apartment is located across the street from Pheasant Run, so I was weary, but they are truly treating us like prisoners. The electric bills and water bills are extremely high as well....RUN! do not move here...go into Pickerington....on top of that they appear to just be renting to anyone....I don't see this place lasting long and it certainly not luxurious.

Tussing Place does have a pool which is open during the summer season. Tussing place has a little mini gym which consists of two treadmills, one elliptical machine, and a weight bench with weights of different sizes. Oh yeah, there are two TVs and a bathroom. The mini gym is open all year round.
Tussing Place is located directly next door to Tussing Elementary School, about a quarter mile west from the intersection of Tussing Rd and Hines Rd. From a broader perspective, we are halfway between Brice Rd and SR-256.
