My RT-PCR results took 24 hours to get instead of 1 hour. The text messaging system has broken menus that leave you trapped if you need to go back, the phone system only connected me with a real person on 1 of 8 tries during business hours. I requested that someone contact me via email/phone/text several times. Nobody ever called me, the only response was via email. That process is broken and slow because the customer service rep asks you for information that you already gave the system while you were asking for someone to contact you. That extra step or two takes hours unless both the CS rep and you are sitting in front of a computer waiting for a reply.

The pros: I was able to quickly get care by booking a same-day appointment. The doctor/NP was very knowledgeable, gave helpful advice, and prescribed me useful treatment. Overall, the staff were nice and the facilities seemed very clean and modern. The cons: after my appointment, I experienced some side effects with the medications, and the pharmacy's instructions for my medications seemed different from what the NP had told me in person. Despite calling 3 times and texting, I wasn't able to get through to the urgent care to get any clarification on what to do about the side effects or what the actual medication instructions were.

I went to Dignity Health for the 1st time 3 weeks ago. This location is so convenient, modern and easy to get to. I had an appointment and waited about 15 minutes before being seen. Not bad at all. Everyone from the front desk staff (Destini?) to the physicians were amazing! The 2 doctors (men) who treated me that day were informative and kind. Everyone was even joking which is great when you're stressed about health issues. Flash forward to today when I went back for a minor issue involving a small painful lump. Same cheerful welcome coming in, waited even less than last time and was brought to room for vitals in just a few minutes. The negative: After getting my vitals checked, I waited 45 minutes in the room without anyone telling me when the doctor would be able to see me (an ETA doesn't seem like much to ask) and through the exam door, I hear the doctor on call today talking about one of my gastric health conditions which is on my patient file! I was like "is this for real?" She was talking about how someone with X shouldn't be here. Umm excuse me? There's a small chance I misheard but I definitely heard part of all of this. I definitely don't think it's appropriate to mention patients medical information in a hallway where others can hear. I came out of the room a few instants later to ask for an ETA and the same doctor who was at front desk said "we're still with a patient, we'll see you soon". Pretty dismissive. No worries about wait, but I've been forgotten once in a room before so thought I'd ask. The doctor then comes in the room and to break the ice I said "sorry, just wanted to know if I was next!" and she pretty much tells me "we have patients with more important issues than yours so it took longer". Wow, you're gonna compare health issues. You don't need to talk down on me because you're a doctor, lady. In any case, thinking it's just a one off with this particular doc but I definitely wouldn't want to see this doc again who was very cold. My opinion of this urgent care was awesome so it's too bad she ruined it! Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
