This is my go-to store because of location. The store is always clean and the staff are very friendly and supportive. I would have given 5 stars but feel that they can improve on several things: The baked chicken is always overcooked and it taste old. Not fresh. Is it because they leave them in the oven much longer than they should. When i debone, it sadly falls apart like a wasting corpse. I wish they’d taste like the ones at Safeway in Orinda. The other item that could use improving is how they arrange their raw fish. Raw seafood should not be touching other seafood. But every time I walk by there to buy Atlantic salmon, I cringe because the tray is butted right up against the other fish tray with fish mixing juices with each other. If you want to know how to handle fish, go to Tokyo Fish Market and take copious notes. I’ve been shopping at Raley’s since 2001 and the above are my serious high disappointments.

The store is laid out well in the order that I like to shop though a recent reorganization took time to adjust to. There is a good balance between fresh foods, staples, and ready-made items. Checkout lines usually move fast and self-check is available. Prices and specials are friendly. Some departments like the bakery have slipped lately due to supply issues and shortage of personnel.

The store have a good organization, i have a buying 2 cinnamon roll, supposedly fresh, and at the eating time, they were hard for at least 2 or 3 days, I threw them away! Im buying 2 fresh pizza hand made, $7.00 each, but after cooking them, I'm put in the garbage too because the tomato sauce was very bitter, inedible!

Unity&Diversity

Lots of variety. Dependibly stocked shelves. Clean store with accessible restrooms. No bums/beggers outside. Fast service. Loved the Deli. Easy parking. Nice people. Prices just so-so unless on ad. I just wish I lived closer!
