The woman who works the reception desk in the evenings seems to go out of her way to give customers the worst service possible. This is my second stay there in recent months and my second disappointing interaction with her. This first time the air conditioner in my room was malfunctioning and making a very, very loud sound like it was about to break. The sound was atypical and I knew I would be unable to sleep that night. I had to PLEAD with her to change my room. It should have been the first thing she offered. This time I requested an additional pillow and she said there wasn’t one available. I asked if there was one in another unoccupied room not being used and she told me there wasn’t one extra pillow in the entire hotel. I find that very, very difficult to believe. She followed up by saying they were just washed and all wet. This woman (short brownish hair) should not be working in the service industry in my opinion. Not only does she have no interest in solving customer issues, her attitude is also just awful. Please replace her. She is the reason I will probably never stay at that location again. She reflects very poorly on the Hampton Inn brand. The room was comfortable and the bed was great, however the room had a strong cigarette smell. Fitness center only has one treadmill on no other cardio equipment. You cannot increase the speed over 1.0 on the treadmill as it is broken. There are some free weights and an exercise ball. That’s it for equipment.

Very dated hotel, but the room was nonetheless in good shape. It was clean except for the carpet. We noticed the black from our feet in the shower running off with the water. The bed was too firm. Breakfast was a little more spartan than typical for a Hampton Inn……no breakfast meats, no pastries. The breakfast person walked pass me, looked, and didn’t say “hi”. Typical Columbus hospitality.

The 2nd shift staff was wonderful. Friendly helpful and full of laughs. We told stories about the hotel life since I use to work at hotels for many years. This is one of my favorites in the Columbus area.

Great hotel! Beautiful, clean room and friendly staff. However, NOT pet friendly. An additional $75 non refundable fee to have my well traveled, well trained dog stay one night is ridiculous! No designated walking area was even available.
