Spring Valley Nature Preserve

We are a family of 4 (2 kids under 7) and have ventured out here about 5 or 6 times so far over the last two months and have enjoyed every visit. Through snow, ice, rain and all we've really enjoyed this nature preserve and are looking forward to more visits. It doesn't take much for us to enjoy the outdoors - we take it all in when we can. But so far it's been great seeing this preserve not littered with trash (which is an unfortunate common occurance in many places). By end of February our family had hiked through all the trails. Some are certainly more of a trek, mostly due to steep inclines. But there are some really pretty views through out. Several times we noticed people using the larger lower shelter - once had a fire going in the fireplace which we didn't even know was there beforehand. Even if you are not up for a hike there's a place for you to enjoy here.

Hidden gem. Very wet and muddy this mid April spring day, but my pooch and i still enjoyed our first visit. I admit the tennis courts were a bit of an odd addition though. Look forward to returning when the weather is better.

Nice woodland trails with some good views. Good signage for the trails.

Fantastic hiking spot! I love the winding trails throughout the woods. Very serene & peaceful. This is definitely my new favorite place to work out.
