I went there to see Marshall Tucker Band last week. The theatre is beautiful! Lighting, comfortable seats, helpful staff, and good acoustics helped make the experience very enjoyable. It's a far cry from the rundown place it used to be. Kudos! I used to go there in the 70's and beyond. It was very rundown. So glad it's been brought back to a gorgeous condition .

Great job restoring the Colonial Theater, it's just like I remember as a kid. We went in to see Jim Norton and were very impressed with the theater, its clean and bright and new looking. Our seats were a little cramped together but comfortable enough. The sound system was excellent maybe even too loud.. We will definitely be back in the future......

I brought my daughter to see the play The Christmas Carol and it was spectacular. The actors were spot on and they all did such an amazing job. The renovation really brought me back. Stepping into the theater and smelling the popcorn 🍿 was like Stepping into a time warp of my much younger days as it was a weekend staple as a teenager. If you haven't been yet you must go it's an experience like no other. Bring something warm though because it's a bit chilly or at least were I was sitting 😅.

Recently redone and the work is breathtaking. We saw Bob Marley do his comedy show and it fit the venue perfectly. The house was sold out yet it was still really comfortable. Parking was easy and cheap and the event staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. I couldn't ask for a better experience. It's a 90 minute drive for me but I know I'm going back! I believe the website for them it's coloniallaconia.com or something close to that. Unlike most venues getting in and out was easy. A great night's entertainment!
