Intimate place, in the heart of Castro, remained in its own juice since the 60s. Really very pleasant waiter, who even shared his tips for San Francisco with us. Good sized portions and quality food. I order this address !!!

Pepperoni & sausage pizza is soooooo good. Great service too. Good atmosphere in the restaurant feels like being in an Italian secret chamber.

A friend who does dinners there for his non-profit group said that the owner is financially stressed. since they (finally!) Started accepting credit cards, the fees they take cut into his profits. The restaurant business is brutal in SF. In this low carb, gluten free, advocado toast city, I hope there's still room for an old school Italian place like the Sausage Factory!
I dont think so... if so, it must be very small because I don't recall ever seeing it.
