A friend who does dinners there for his non-profit group said that the owner is financially stressed. since they (finally!) Started accepting credit cards, the fees they take cut into his profits. The restaurant business is brutal in SF. In this low carb, gluten free, advocado toast city, I hope there's still room for an old school Italian place like the Sausage Factory!
