I ordered a Yuzu tree, I’m zone 7 so it’s one of only a couple citrus fruits I can attempt outdoors. It arrived in excellent condition, about four feet tall. New growth cropping up at the top and the roots were perfectly loose in the containers soil, not immature but not rootbound at all, just the exact state you would want to plant, I cannot overstate how rare I’ve found this to be in my gardening life. Like all reputable tree sellers they ship when they feel the seasons make shipping appropriate. This did turn out to be a few weeks later than the other companies I ordered from, and you know. With live plants this can make you nervous. But it still did arrive the first week of may, like I said just perfect condition. Worth the wait. They were also responsive and friendly when I checked in on the order status in April. Based on my experience I definitely recommend, and I will be purchasing some of their other unusual fruit trees soon.

I'm really happy with our order from One Green World! Our bare root plum tree (the "stick" in the photo) and two elderberry plants arrived last week. I am super grateful One Green World shipped these plants to us mindful of our hardiness zone. Seeing their great selection of food based plants makes me really excited to work with them in the future. Our plum tree is already showing signs of growth and the elderberry bushes are in great shape. Excellent communication from One Green World, the plants look amazing, and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

This place is awesome if you're a gardener looking for the harder-to-get variety of plants! Ben, Meg and everyone I came into contact with was helpful and knowledgeable about everything I inquired about.

Beyond happy with quality of fig plants I purchased here. They really do take great care of their plants. They shipped them with great care too. No damage to any of the 9 fig varieties. Extremely healthy. Will definitely order here again.

Bought a schizandra some years ago. Eastern Prince. Billed as self-fertile at the time. No longer listed as selling-fertile. Vine grows well, flowers but has never fruited. Is there a variety to pollinate it? Is there some way to get it to fruit?

james rodley | Jun 19, 2021

Hi James, thank you for reaching out! The Eastern Prince is a hermaphroditic clone containing both male and female parts within each flower and should produce fruit without a pollenizing partner. If fruiting hasn't occurred then we recommend adding an organic fertilizer to the top soil during its flowering phase to help support the plant during its flower development stage and fruiting. Having pollinators frequent the flowers also helps with the pollen transfer. If few pollinators are present then it can can be beneficial to hand pollinate with a q-top or paint brush to help ensure pollination does take place within each flower.

I received my B9 rootstock yesterday and it is a little early to graft my scions onto them, we a well below zero here in Minnesota. How do you recommend storing them until the appropriate time?

Greg Witty | Feb 26, 2021
One Green World (Owner) | Feb 27, 2021

Hi Greg, Thank you for reaching out! You can store the rootstock in a refrigerator with a bag surrounding its roots. Just be sure to monitor the roots so that they don't dry out. We recommend spraying the roots periodically with water if they are feeling dry. They can be stored until ready to graft once warmer weather sets in. Grafting is a fun way to propagate and is a rewarding experience! Wishing you all the best on your grafting journey ahead! -OGW

I have ordered a couple European Elderberries. If I have native redd elderberries all around my place, will that be a problem with cross pollination ?

Susan Coast | Jun 26, 2020

Hi Susan, Thank you for reaching out! No worries, having Red Elderberries near by won't negatively effect the cross pollination.

Hi Bhanu, Thank you for reaching out! Yes we certainly do! We carry an assortment of fruiting trees and shrubs along with some ornamental plant varieties as well. They are presented in a range of sizes depending on the variety and we mostly carry plants between the ages of 1-5 years old that are sold in either 5.5 inch, 1 gallon, or 2 gallon containers and in bare root form. We do have some older plant varieties available in 5 gallon, 10 gallon and in some cases 20 gallon containers that are only available for in store pick up. We do ship most of our plants and have a retail location in Portland, Or.
