Incredible hidden and delightful store to find European, Asian, and Arab delicacies. Great selection of canned fish, cured meats, pickles, and more! I live in NYC and am still amazed at the selection here, especially in the middle of nowhere Maine!

You won’t find a better delicatessen in Maine. In some ways it’s far better than even the fancy ones in Manhattan. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I’m eagerly waiting for the restaurant to open back up. It was spectacular. Try the pickles!

We learned about Morse's sauerkraut when we ate Ruben sandwiches at Moody's Diner in 2018. Got to visit Morse's Sept 2021. What a delicatessen! Incredible selection of international products, and homemade pickled vegetables and cured meats. Don't miss this off the beaten path, longtime, Maine treasure. Get your next picnic lunch here! Yes they do... I just sent a package to my parents in Illinois.
I was highly impressed! They request customers to use their complimentary hand sanitizer when you walk in, clean baskets are available, everything was properly covered and handled(as usual)! Of course, masks are required

I don't believe they make it there but it is very good and they have many different styles. It's authentic.
The makers of kraut keep it in barrels for months before they even start too sell it . If it starts to mold or change color then I wouldn't eat it. Until then enjoy .
I know that they do use sugar . I make my own and I can tell you that there is a lot more salt than sugar . When I make mine it's 3 parts salt 2 one part sugar . About a half cup too a 5 gal . Bucket .

No. They do sell beer and wine in the store/deli section, but it is not offered in the restaurant. Maybe you can buy it in the store and drink it in the restaurant?
