Great place to start fermenting or continue fermenting. Friendly helpful great grains. Blue ox local malt here. But so much more. Learn to make wine!

Great downtown store that I've patronized for years. Extremely knowledgeable in the realm of Homebrewing, as well as Cheese- and Wine-making (They even offer classes). They've assisted us in creating many great custom or clone- beer recipes and batches of wine for special occasions or famil events. Josh and James know their stuff! I try to support local business whenever possible and so also enjoy that I can get locally roasted coffee and items like local honey there as well. Go check them out!

I love the farmhouse. The staff is amazing, the selection is the best in the state. They have regular classes for everything from gardening to brewing and everything in between. Ingredients are fresh, and plentiful (huge grain, yeast, and hop selection) They'll help you design your recipe, or choose from one of the many great custom recipe kits all put together ready to go. Check out their website where you can order just about everything that's in the store. I stop by every time I'm in town.

The Farmhouse follows the state requirements. As the owner and only employee, I ask that people order in advance because there is only one person there to help every customer and the store is limited to five people at a time. But I am completely available to provide customer service over the phone, by email or social media messaging, and in person, even outside of normal store hours.
I would say yes, still use it. I called and asked a similar question when brewing a batch of Witbier and was told basically to always use the whirfloc as it works during the actual active brewing/boiling process where clarity is more dependant on the yeast and during fermentation. Staff there is super knowledgeable and always willing to help tho so don't hesitate to call and ask them for their opinion
