Had guys hold us up from our tee time that we were on time for. There were 6 men just standing talking on hole 1. No one getting ready to tee off just talking. When we approached them and asked what time there tee time was (maybe the course accidentally put us on at the same time. It happens) we find out they were 30/40 minutes late to their tee time. When we told them that this was our time to go that we booked they start to belittle us saying “you must not golf here much huh?” and when we tell them we play here a lot and this has never happened they continue to belittle us and threaten us. This place needs better regulation.

I love this course (happens to be right by my house) but still overall it’s a great course. There are definitely some tough golf shots. Greens are all ways in good condition for Florida! Never gets to wet no plugging even in the wettest months! And they have three properties check out Rocky Point!

The historical aspect in itself make this golf course a must play. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by some of the most dedicated and knowledgeable individuals in the golf business. They have really cracked the code on service with a smile. The club Pro, T.J., is professional, approachable and just a plain nice person. I'm from the Midwest and played several days in January. I was so impressed I'm going back again in February. In closing, I'll admit that this is a City of Tampa owned golf course with obvious issues, however, as in life, I chose to focus on the positive...
