I had the most pleasant experience at the DMV this morning in Kennebunk. The staff was great and I was in and out in under one hour! Be sure to have all your required paperwork with you- and arrive before 8 am because there will be a line!

If you're thinking of moving to Maine, dont. I went here to renew my license, but they had 30-50 people standing outside in 30MPH wind and rain all lined up instead of letting them come inside. No one had masks or was distanced so what is the point of not letting us inside? The government of Maine is legitimately insane and should be ashamed of themselves. Do not ever move here.

5 stars to the employees. Very friendly, very helpful. They work very hard and fast. Kennebunk DMV needs to hire more help. Is a really good place for licenses, name change, ect, ect

If you have previously gotten your license in Maine, yes, probably.
right away in the morning when they first open
what do i need to bring to the DMV to renew my licence
Go to town hall and they will direct you to DMV when you have completed excise taxes
Show up and wait
divorce decree
If you have previously registered, and your town participates in rapid renewal, yes you can renew online.
I would like renew my state ID
They dont accept appointments. You just have to show up and take your chances on how long the wait will be.
You MUST have the STAR on your licence for air travel regardless. This is regulated in all 50 states. If you dont have the STAR.....road trip.
To my knowledge you can go there without an appointment.
Yes you can
No, show up and wait in line. You can check out the website to see if you can renew online if the information hasn't changed.
No appointment necessary as far as I know. There is however a limit of people allowed in the building at a time.
Mine cost $35 but it's not a real ID
They are so overwhelmed I would send an email !!!
You might be able to complete online at Maine. Gov or try your local DMV if they are open. If not call town hall and they can help send you in the right direction
Hi Sue, sorry I don't know the answer you can try their web page, or call them.
35 for a license five for ID also I believe it’s five dollars to replace your lost license
I'm not sure. I searched on ME BMV but couldn't find anything. My guess would be you try until you get it right. For me I failed the first but passed the second time. My advice practice as much as you can. Relax and you should do fine. If do fail ask what was the cause to be failed. Work on that issue and try again. Good luck to you.
Bring a utility bill to the dmv! If you have a social security card bring that too!!
For your license you will need you will need proof of residence, a utility bill, tax return, pay stub etc. For registration you need proof of insurance and if it was registered in Mass you have alot of choices of license plates. Not sure if you have to pay at town hall. You may want to call them.
You can replace it online . I think k
O nline. Think 7.00 fee
