Really clean restaurant. Americana vives. Employees seem happy to be there. Fries were a bit burned and had zero salt and the tiny ketchup packets annoying but the fried haddock sandwich was very good (even better if they would include a lemon wedge to squirt on it). $2 extra for gluten free bun and $1 for refill on lemonade seems petty with the high prices ($31 for small lemonade, fries and fish sandwich) but hey, at least they pay their employees closer to a living wage. On weekends you can enjoy live music wafting from joint next door. Be nicer if they had their own beach chill lounge music. Not really Into old 80’s rock songs like Footloose. Only reason I give critiques is because this place is special overall but could be perfect.

This was a beautiful place with a gorgeous view . I am vegan so def not a place for me but my husband enjoyed his lobster roll and clam chowder soup . It was very fresh and delicious . I highly recommend The Clam Shack if you are visiting Kennebunk port Maine . I can say your trip will be incomplete without visiting this place !

The Clam Shack is my all-time favorite lobster roll. Hands down. Period. There is truly no competition on the East Coast, let alone, Maine. I have tried lobster rolls all throughout New England, and still… nothing compares. I wait all winter for the first true taste of summer at The Clam Shack. Always order your lobster roll with “BOTH” — butter and mayo— it’s award winning. I’m not kidding. Look it up! Your search for the best lobster roll, ever, comes to a stop, here. Everything from their fried seafood, their onion rings to their fresh squeezed lemonade are well worth the wait and the price. It’s not cheap— but that’s not what this review is about, so be prepared to spend a dime or two. It. Is. Worth. It!!

Best lobster roll I've ever had! The roll is basic but very high quality - the best parts of the lobster, butter, and mayo on a soft, lightweight roll. It doesn't need anything else. It's delicious!!
