The only thing they could do better is to stock more archival or fine art printer paper. Literally the only office supply store in greater Boston that I have found to always have ink in stock for my very common Epsom printer. Fair prices, helpful staff, and tempting displays. It's the only place I shop for computers/repair/printer ink.

A great place to shop for any sort of tech. They had an abundance of building your own computer parts, 3D printers, monitors, gaming consoles, electronics projects, and any cable you can think of.

Great computer store, close to MIT. Prices range from quite good to a bit expensive, sometimes better through other online retailers sometimes better in store. Very wide range of products, especially for enthusiasts. Nice to be able to pick this stuff up in person, in particular when you need some small part for a project immediately.

MicroCenter has the properly trained staff for the type of electronics store they are.
The understand the different types of customers that come into their stores.
Me I am a well trained IT support guy and the staff at Cambridge,MA store know this and leave me to my shopping unless I approach them.
But I have seen people who are scared to change radio stations be comforted by the staff there. They got a good team
Yes, the support team in the store, goes above and beyond to help clients, they provide a personalized tailored service based on the client project and or needs.
That's not true. It's first come first serve and people sleep overnight. They have them but usually one or two a day. And the employees never know what is on the truck.
There are a million YouTube tutorials that can help, and microcenter will fix it for you if you mess up, I believe it is $20 for them to do so. When my PC didn't boot at first they were my first thought. But if you are really worried NZXT has a pretty good website for custom prebuilts

2 DVi cables if your monitor is decently recent and accepts DVi, OR 2 Display port cables if your machine is more recent.. Look at the back of your machine.. Better yet take a picture of the back of your machine (where your video outputs are!!!) and show the techs, ALSO take a pic of the back of your monitors to clearly see wat type input each monitor accepts.. Only then will you B sure UR getting the correct vid cables.. Oft times U may havfta go w 1 'DisplayPort' cable and a HDMi cable, bcs of wat is availb to you on both ends, meaning the back of your machine and each monitor's accepted input.. With pics U can B sure U get the correct cabling !!
I seen a few last week while browsing. Go on their site and view stock and options unless you don't mind the trip and browsing. I always walk out with knowledge or a part/toy :)
I have a PowerSpec B747 and want to add a SSD (Samsung 870EVO 2TB) and I do not see any motherboard sockets that appear to match those on the SSD. Am I missing something? What do I need to attach the SSD to the motherboard?
Best,

The 870EVO is a SATA SSD; you would need a SATA data cable that connects the SSD to the motherboard as well as connect one of the SATA power cables from the power supply to the SSD
Yes, they sell lifetime licenses for Office. You will need to pay a fee for the installation, but IIRC it comes with "software optimization" (i.e. removing the bloatware Dell or HP like to put on your machine). I would ask a sales associate about that.
No appointment needed, but they may have to send it back to the Lenovo service center. Depends what is wrong. Very few places fix laptops anymore. The aces it is sent, in GA. Is nothing but repair centers and tied directly to the manufacturers.
Can my Acer Cb3 chromebook print to a Brother HL 2270DW (via USB or ipp)?
Is there a firmware update to accommodate the loss of Google cloud service?
How does it differ from the HL L 2370DW?
Do they use the same cartridges?

I'm not sure... I would call Brother's Customer Support ...or go to Brother's Customer Support on their website...they would have the answer... you may have to download updated software...not sure...I would start there 1st!!!
Hey Ernest, try doing a scan to pdf. Do the streaks show up there? If so, the problem is with the scanner side.
If so, there's probably some dust on the bed. When you open the bed, you'll see a thin(1cm) strip of glass on one side. Give that a nice cleaning and try again.
Good luck!
If you go on their website and change your store from the web store to the Cambridge store at the top, it will show you what they have in stock and how many they have of each item. You can also place an order online and pick it up in store.
i want to purchase a modem rather than renting one from comcast. Does anyone know what type or specs that I need to purchase my own at Micro Center?
Michael P Howard | Aug 20, 2021
Jason Nguyen | Aug 20, 2021
you would need a modem with docsis 3.0, i had always been using the netgear brand and it has worked for me. there will be different models really only difference is the speeds supported by the modem also you might also need a router for wifi.
after purchasing it you have to call comcast, verify the model and brand and have it activated for your comcast services and return the comcast equipment to a comcast near you.
When I went there Sunday they were disenfecting the place and getting people out the door. I don't know what happened after that. Might want to try and call them.
Why isn't there a phone number listed?
Need to ask a simple question about store hours on a holiday.
Stuck in some rediculous queue, just to find out if they are Open. Cambridge

Usually on holidays they go to Sunday hours 11a to 6p. As for number it should be listed on web page or any web search. Also they get quite busy at times specially when it first opens.
Im trying to purchase a nvidia MSI geforce rtx 3070 gaming x trio, but it says there's only one in stock, and doesn't allow me to purchase/ reserve online to pick it up, i live 2 hours away so i was wondering if there is a way to contact?

As long as there is driver for it on windows 10, otherwise you'll need to run a virtual workstation run windows 97. Check the manufacturer for the latest drivers for operating systems. Most likely it's been phased out and archived.
Don't think so, but they can help you pick the parts and make sure you don't miss anything. It's really easy to put together!
EDIT: They will build your own PC using products they sell, the fee is $130
It will cost $260 for them to build your rig, I do not believe they will just help you assemble your rig. YouTube has a lot of great tutorials to follow.

I need help with a MacBook air
I get a black screen, plus dozens of purple, red, green, black lines horizontally at the bottom, and the same thing (but fewer lines) on the vertical right hand side.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Not the correct forum for a question such as this. Beside that I do not believe they repair anything. They only build customer deck top computers to the best of my knowledge.
Does the Epson ET 2750 have a paper cartridge i.e. a bin or drawer to hold paper? What is it's capacity
If it does? Or does it have to be fed one sheet ar a time?

Hi Gerarld, are you planning to use a streaming service on your television? Then yes that would be a problem for DSL. DSL maxes out at a few megabits per second. If you are going to use Netflix, you will be fine. Netflix will auto downshift the speed and resolution of the picture accordingly, based on the link quality to the internet. Don't start planning on using multiple devices while you're watching a video on Netflix. Good luck!
Hi good afternoon! I'm from Brazil, my mother-in-law is in there, I wonder if you have the Intel i7 3770k

No, they do not sale ivy bridge processors, however you can find them for 190~ or less on eBay.
Check the website or call the store it saves you time. Think about it... the time it takes you to post this and wait for someone's answer, which will most likely be check the website. You could spend BROWSING THE WEBSITE. Apart from this I highly doubt that ANYONE carries a mental inventory of this store.
In-store sales (b-fry) are far greater than what is online. But if you know of an In-store sale that is not available online their associates mould probably match it for you via a phone order.
