No appointment needed, but they may have to send it back to the Lenovo service center. Depends what is wrong. Very few places fix laptops anymore. The aces it is sent, in GA. Is nothing but repair centers and tied directly to the manufacturers.

I'd say get a new laptop. Lenovo has a history of major cyber threats. Aside from that, laptops are all essentially the same regardless of vendor. They should be able to handle your request. Items like monitor and keyboard replacement can be done simply and for fractions of the cost than taking it to a vendor. Try the ifixit website for details if that's your issue.
