They’ve raised their prices once again. I find deals every once in a while but most things are WAY overpriced. Anything old, they put in their vintage section and ask Etsy prices. Their vintage section is either junky, picked over (probably by staff) or over priced. Most clothing is ridiculously priced. They mark up for brand names or popular brands but that could include Forever 21 and Shein lol. They have color tag sales but most of the good items are tagged in a color that never goes on sale. You can get a decent coupon by donating and that’s been the only reason I keep going. However, they likely marked up prices because of that coupon. They might support veterans but anyone whose income is low and looking for an affordable way to buy clothes, won’t be able to afford Red Racks prices. They took away the dressing rooms during covid and aren’t going to replace them. Therefore, you can’t try on the $25 dollar summer dress or $18 pair of jeans. If you want to risk buying it and it doesn’t fit, you can’t return it; you can only exchange it so you’re betting on finding something else you need within the few days you’re given. Everything is jam packed on the racks and shelves because guess what? They can’t move inventory like they used to because the prices are so high. I’ve been going here for years and it’s no longer in my top few thrift stores in town for all these reasons. It’s actually really disappointing because they had a good thing going. Not sure they’re listening to their customers. Did I mention your prices are too high? There’s a bathroom still so I’ll give them a star for that. Explicitly says you can’t try on clothes there though or they’ll make you leave.

Prices are okay but most of the stuff is not good conditions. The name brand stuff is up there in price and the condition just doesn't match.

Beware of employees not knowing return / exchange information. I was told that I could return products within days with receipt (you can only exchange), and then I was told by a supervisor (or manager, as that's who was asked for) that I could return at another Red Racks location (you can only return at that store). The manager (or so I'm told, who knows at this point) clearly didn't care about me pointing out that employees were telling customer incorrect info, so just shop knowing that management doesn't really care about customers at this location.

Went in looking for clothes for work. Found what I was looking for and so much more! The employees were super friendly and more than ready to assist customers. Thanks for having a great store with great employees and a large selection of everything!

Everything is based on what's been donated. I have seem luggage at the Red Racks thrift shop.
You might have more luck at garage sales and estate sales
As zeel stated it's a hit and miss sometimes even by 5 minutes, so you just have to check in periodically
You never know what you can find there! You have to keep on stopping by the store to check the availability.
Cheryl, Blue Springs Red Racks and our New Shawnee Mission City Thrift stores both sell factory fresh box springs and mattresses.
Sometimes - but not necessarily in "sets" to do a room
