They are friendly, but at $50 a month or more, it's way overpriced. My interest is mostly yoga and the pool and the yoga program is down to almost nothing. There are two classes that I go to in a week. The pools it's Hit or Miss if you get to swim because they are so restrictive on when they shut it down for the storms. A lightning strike within 10 miles and they'll shut it down for an hour. The bigger YFC pool over by Gaither will maybe have one lane that you can swim in if it's not occupied, which with being only one lane, it usually is. If you have kids, the play area is always available. The gym itself is pretty small and usually fairly quiet, if that's what you're looking for. Mostly these days I go to EOS (9.99/mo) where they have yoga classes twice a day at least and also it's of other workout classes, but their pool is small. The gym is so huge and there are many machines and weights and workout areas. It's loud and some of the clientele is a little sketchier, but I go in and do my yoga classes work on the bike or the rowing machine and leave. I'm older, so I'm not their demographic. I also go to Crunch, but not very often. They have one good daytime yoga class and a couple of good hot yoga classes in the evenings.

The pool is great if not I’ve had availability on recumbent bikes as I have a spine disc fracture. They have a variety of equipment and activities! Even a playground for children! The treadmills are good to use once explained.

It is with great displeasure that I write this review. Unfortunately it is necessary. After over year of volunteering for the youth basketball league at this location my family will not be associating with this organization anymore. We began our experience with great disappointment a year and a half ago. There was absolutely no communication, and no one to get ahold of regarding games practices or coaches. The A/C and lights were constantly out at the youth and family center, ref’s and staff member not taking pride in there jobs to create a good experience, for example texting on their phones, not cleaning up or setting up chairs, and never knew who their point of contact was. Fast forward a couple seasons and Jaylen White came in and took over as the athletic director and did a fantastic job running the league. My husband and I then decided to volunteer and took on 4 teams in 4 different age groups. My husband is known as the most sought out coach your youth basketball league. We put in 25+ hours a week volunteering to help keep the program running smooth as our two children participate. Unfortunately Jaylen (the sports director) moved out of state and after having an adequate amount of time to make sure the rest of the season was ran smoothly you all dropped the ball. 5/17/22 we had make up games scheduled. Chairs were not set up hoops not at appropriate height, score board not ready, no refs, no staff. When staff was approached they had no idea there was even games going on at not just the bob sierra but also the YFC, which led to a 30 min delay. 5/18/22 Again same situation. No chairs, floors a mess and needed swept, hoops not set up no refs no staff. Kids and parents had to work together to get the facility ready for our games. My husband facilitated getting someone from the front desk to come run the game. Which led to the new sports director of South Tampa refereeing the game and a parent running the score board. My husband spoke out about a missed call, a foul, and her response was, “Would you like to come out here and do my job?” Now, over the last year I can name SEVERAL volunteer coaches that CONSISTENTLY run their mouths to the refs. Never once has a staff member and a director at that screamed back at the coaches. Her unprofessionalism led to a banter that went back and forth and she ejected my husband from the game. No technical called just ejected. After spending a year of volunteering 25+ hours of our time and spending money on your programs this behavior and experience is all around completely unacceptable. We are extremely disappointed in the staff, and the supervision of how you all run your basketball program. It is completely inconsiderate to ignore the responsibility of the program while being in between Sports directors. If any feedback is to be taken in to account… if you hold a position within this establishment take pride in your work and do your job with integrity. You have hundreds of family’s that spend their time and money at your facility and deserve to have a great experience.

I have two children who participate in the Bob Sierra youth basketball league. They have played in this program since spring of 2021. I can very easily, and quite often do, recommend this program to many friends and acquaintances after the last two seasons that have been directed by Jaylen White. He has done nothing but elevate the program. He listens to feedback, brainstorms with volunteer coaches and takes everything into consideration to make the experience for the children and the parents better and better. He is to be applauded, truly. We have turned many friends into family because of this program, for that we are grateful of all the hard work that goes into it.
