Just don't use them, their office and equipment is ancient. Their customer service is awful. Their management is despicable and they refuse to fix local and company wide issues that could be solved by listening to their dwindling supply of good employees. During one of my visits they knocked a crown off while extracting another tooth, which the dentist had no problem repairing for free until the owner caught wind. He is also a dentist, and forced his way into the situation, saying other services that weren't free were now required. I ended up having to be seen in multiple visits when he wasn't there so they could fix the problem as promised behind his back, at least the dentist I came to see knew what's right. But it was awkward and unnecessary. Not to mention they always try to upsell you for services or upgrades you don't need, like full porcelain or premium packages. There are MUCH better and more affordable dental services offered elsewhere in town. For your own good, look around.

Places like this is what keeps me from visiting dentists as often as I need. I had a filled tooth that started to hurt when pressure was applied. I made an appointment here and was told that I needed a root canal and a crown. I was informed they do not do any sort of sedation other than prescribing Halcyon, which I opted for. I must have received about 10 injections because they couldn't numb the nerve, this was grueling. Halfway through the procedure, I'm told that the tooth is cracked and then I'm asked if I wanted him to finish or abort the root canal. I was stoned on Halcyon and in no condition to make a decision like that. So he stopped the root canal, put in a temp filling and sent me on my way, with a gaping hole in my tooth, an intact nerve and an appointment a month later to have a consultation for an extraction and implant. The next day I left for a 3 week vacation in the Keys. 2 days after I left the temp filling fell out and the tooth was infected. I ended up having to go to another dentist in the Keys to get antibiotics, and used Walgreens temp filling to keep the hole filled. After returning, I called them to tell them that I need this tooth fixed, but I wasn't ready to opt for an implant. There is no way in hell I would let these people pull a tooth, much less perform an implant! I now have an appointment with an oral surgeon. I ended up in a circular conversation where I was presented with a chicken and egg scenario regarding my tooth and moving forward where their only objective was to get me to come in and get an implant. The place is an old, drab, nasty strip mall dental operation for cut rate dental services,. It may be best suited for the medicaid crowd.

Have used Florida Dental Centers a few times. The first time I came here was just to have my routine teeth cleaning, I also informed them that I needed a new night guard. They were able to clean my teeth and get my impressions for my night guard in the same day. Scheduled the night guard fitting for two weeks later. Came back and it didn’t fit right. Scheduled another fitting two weeks later for round number 2. This time it fit just right. Plus they didn’t charge me for taking a second impression since it didn’t go right the first time. Very reasonable prices, plus the staff is very friendly. These people know what they are doing. Will be back again soon for any of my dental needs.

I love this office of Florida Dental Centers. The entire staff is friendly, efficient, and sincerely caring! They ALWAYS get me in super fast so they can perform necessary adjustments as needed. Dr. Floyd and Dr. Healy are always professional and extremely adept in every way. The support staff always treat me with the utmost respect and are empathetic to my needs. Once again KUDOS to this office, I am in good hands with them at all times.

Hello, i recently moved to Bradenton and was denied Medicaid, and have no insurance, but my wisdom tooth is infected and the pain is unbearable. How much is it to get removed, and is there a way i can pay in installments? Im desperate for help..

Anxious Chick | Aug 20, 2021
Florida Dental Centers | Aug 20, 2021

Hi Guro! The answer is the fee depends on whether your wisdom teeth are extracted by the general dentist ($200-$250) or oral surgeon ($200-$400). We have a payment upon services rendered policy unless you're paying with the Wells Fargo Health Advantage Card or Care Credit.
