Why did I just receive a color postcard in the mail to inform me that your progress between 2020 and 2022 to reduce homeless population is +1% ? Santa Monica has become a shthole thanks to your stupid policies. We are paying high rents, high taxes but we can't even walk safely in our streets, enjoy our parks, our beach. You have destroyed this city.

If I could leave -1000 stars I would. Santa Monica City Hall is still closed to public access due to covid. No one answers the phone. no one answers their emails. no one responds to the city 311 email system. The phone system is a joke with voicemails that are not monitored. It takes 14 days to make an appointment with anyone. Probably time to defund city hall and get rid of this ridiculous bureaucracy. If you are too scared to do your job, maybe we should stop paying you for it.

Santa Monica Building and Safety as an entity.., I like what they stand for, but 90 % of the people that work for them are not very nice, people that issue the permit are horribly arrogant and zero people skill, the inspector are as bad. Their customer service is zero. They should learn from Culver City, they are great.

Yes. There are bike racks to the right and left of the main entrance. However, City Hall is currently undergoing construction. Limited appointments are available for some departments but you enter via the new building ( City Hall East) on Olympic.
