Jose Medina
My name is Jose Medina, I'm currently a college student and after a night out I was pulled over for a DUI and possession of a small knife. Michael Kraut was referred to me by a close friend soon after, thank god. Unfortunately, the courts considered the possession of the knife a felony and soon suspended my license as well. I lost my job and was placed on probation for three years with a felony on my record. Mr. Kraut went out of his way to help me get out of probation after one year. He was able to reduce my felony to a misdemeanor along with the option of getting my record expunged. I did complete all the requirements that the court mandated but without his representation I doubt I would be able to move on with my life. Mr. Kraut also appeared on my last court hearing pro-bono, which I'm so grateful for, thank you sir. I'm deeply honored to meet someone with such a big heart that really cares about people. He went out of his way to explain to the judge that I'm more than just a case number and highlighted all the hard work I put in during the past year. The judge and DA were able to work with him to reduce my sentence, reduce my fees, terminate my probation and expunge my record. Thank you so much for helping me, I'm so indebted to you. Now I can continue to build my life in a positive way and move on. I've learned a valuable lesson through all of this but I still respect the law and now have a deep understanding of the consequences of drinking and driving. I highly recommend Kraut law group.

There are many choices as to attorneys in Los Angeles. What really matters in making an intelligent decision is the experience of the firm you hire, their reputation and getting results. The Michael Kraut Law Group is the venerable criminal defense firm located in Los Angeles. Criminal matters, whatever they may be, are very stressful to deal with. Your only concern should be do I have a firm that will serve my needs best and produce the best possible outcome for me. I can attest to the fact that The Kraut Law Group, specifically Michael Kraut, will get the job done for you. His vast experience as both a prosecutor and criminal defense lawyer has given him the ability to assess, plan and navigate a case through the criminal justices system to the benefit of his clients. His support staff are excellent and to be lauded. In any type of criminal matters that present themselves, choose this firm. In the end, you will be happy with your decision and results produced by this firm, as I am.

Amazing results. Mr. Kraut is an excellent criminal attorney, very skillful and professional. Outstanding performance in court that was based on his knowledge and vast experience. I highly recommend him. He never gave up until he reached his goal. I did not know him but he was recommended to me by a very prestigious law firm and I am so happy that I followed such recommendation.

Let me start by saying that Michael Kraut rose well above the level of my expectations. He was referred to me by a close family friend who gave him a rave review. I understand why after witnessing Michael in action. As an accomplished attorney and former DA, he skillfully combines his aggressive, confident approach with a significantly higher level of skill, competency and maturity than other lawyers that I’ve worked with in the past. As if that weren't enough, he doesn’t take “no” for an answer. He sat back like a hunter watching his prey and waited for the perfect time to pounce in order to win my case. I can't recommend Michael highly enough, and if I ever have the misfortune to need an excellent defense attorney, I would move mountains to have him on my team again, unequivocally.

While it is not necessarily illegal to be intoxicated in a public place, there are circumstances where a person’s level of intoxication or actions can lead to criminal charges in Beverly Hills. When an intoxicated person is unable to care for himself or herself or is picking fights with strangers in the street, he or she may be charged with drunk in public. Someone can also be charged with this offense if they are blocking a sidewalk or public route while intoxicated. Courts have even held that being passed out in one’s vehicle while parked in a public place is sufficient to support criminal charges of drunk in public.
In Beverly Hills, it is illegal not only to steal property but it is also against the law to receive property that one knows or should know is stolen. Receiving stolen property is a potential felony and a person convicted can be sentenced to jail or prison and may be responsible for repaying the original victim for the value of the property. Many receiving stolen property charges involve vehicles that are sold way below market value and Beverly Hills Police Department officers constantly scan license plates for vehicles that may have been reported stolen. Speak an attorney about your specific situations and how you found out that the property was stolen.
White collar crimes in Beverly Hills can involve a number of different criminal offenses, typically involving allegations of fraud and theft. White collar offenses include identify theft, real estate fraud, embezzlement and insurance fraud and investigations may target doctors, lawyers and other professionals. A person may only discover that he or she is the target of a white collar investigation when they are served with a search warrant at their home or office.
Criminal threats is a potential felony and those convicted can be sentenced to prison or jail with extensive conditions of probation. The police will pursue charges against those who make verbal threats as well those who are accused of sending threatening text messages or emails. In some cases, the defendant may have been falsely accused of making threats by another person or the threat may be overly vague or otherwise does not meet the legal definition of a criminal threat.
Assault crimes range from misdemeanor offenses to serious crimes involving the use of deadly weapons or the infliction of serious bodily injury. In many cases, the defendant may have a valid self-defense claim and should speak with a qualified criminal defense lawyer in Beverly Hills immediately. If the victim of an assault or battery was a spouse, family member or household member, the defendant may be subject to specific sentencing requirements that would include a restraining order, restitution and mandatory community service. Assault and battery convictions on a person’s criminal record can have harmful effects on that person’s ability to find employment or housing.
