Julep Kitchen is an absolute treasure for the Dillard / Clayton area. The prix fixe menu option elevates the experience. I enjoyed an amazing wedge salad with house-made bleu cheese dressing, the bone in pork chop, and the bread pudding paired with a cappuccino. My wife had the shrimp & grits. Everything was delightful. I can’t wait to return. Reservation highly recommended.

Wonderful anniversary weekend! We dined at Julep Kitchen several times over a weekend in October. Everything was just perfect. The drinks, shrimp and grits, the crawfish fritters and the desserts were all really good. The carrots and Brussels stole the show! We also stayed in one of their cottages which was very nice and super convenient to most of the area attractions including a quick 25 minute drive to Highlands. Rick,Lauren and the whole staff were all very nice and accommodating. Thanks again.

After driving by this place many times, we just stopped for lunch. So glad we did. Food is exceptional. Chicken pesto pasta very light and freshly made pesto sauce. Shrimp and grits with Cajun season. Phenomenal! Highly recommend trying it if you’re into spicy food. Stop in, you won’t regret it.

We were a little nervous about planning dinner for a party of 10 based on recent reviews. Overall, reviews are quite positive, so we rolled the dice. We are glad we did. Our party had six adults, two teens, a toddler and an infant. We called a week in advance and requested outdoor seating. We arrived at our time of 5:30pm and were seated right away. Tina, our server, was attentive and charming. Everyone found something on the menu they wanted (excluding the infant of course). We enjoyed our cocktails, appetizers, entrees and dessert. The creme de la creme is the farm itself. We bought duck feed in the shop and visited the ducks. This is a great activity for all ages. The ducks know exactly what to do when you approach them. You can wander around the farm. Key Kat, the lazy orange tabby, was taking a nap by the chicken coop. He let us love all over him. The flower garden is a great spot for pictures. We got great shots of the grandparents and grandchildren. The teenagers enjoyed taking pictures of the buildings and plants. We didn’t visit the ponies, but they seemed like the would be content with company. I think we saw an area with corn hole and other activities. If you visit, just consider how large your party is and what time you are planning to arrive. We never felt rushed and enjoyed all the aspects Julep Farm offers. Times are tough and we get the sense if you have a bad experience here, it’s not the norm. Show grace. If they are out of something on the menu, show grace. If dinner doesn’t live up to expectations, buy a bag of duck food from the gift shop, go talk it out with the ducks, and be one with nature. Can’t wait to go back!
