Wonderful neighborhood recreation center. A playground for the kids, friendly off-leash dog park (clay/dirt grounds) tennis courts, basketball hoops, and a baseball field are all packed in this safe and clean park. Just off Sanchez, with slow streets is a great place to walk the dogs.

This review is for the playground and sports fields. Our kids love, and have always loved, going to this playground. We've had a lot of fond memories at this park over the years and can measure their development over the years based on how they've progressed on the playground equipment here. Now (almost) 7, the older one still loves going here though I know the end is near for her (except when she's there eith a friend and then I'm sure they'll still be having a blast for a few more years). But for 6 and under, this is a great playground. All equipment is in good shape, always clean, and good lighting at night. Plenty of tables and benches, though lacking shade which is only a problem on those rare hot days. Oh, and arguably the biggest plus: full bathrooms that are almost always open and clean. The sports field is nice, though like all Recs and Park fields, is over-watered and hence damp. The dog walking "cage" is nice because it (mostly) keeps the dogs and their poo off the fields. I love the location of this space: easily accessible with the J Church, near the mini-commercial district around Church and 30th (good if your kids are desperate for a snack), and during COVID right off the Sanchez Slow Street which our kids absolutely love riding their bikes down to get to Upper Noe Rec Center.

I went with my friend Matt and his 21 month old daughter Xena. I was very impressed with the play facility, and there was a clean and private area to change her diaper. The parents there were friendly and took positive control of their children. The dogs stayed outside the play facility, but they were friendly and well trained.

Great place to bring your kids, has an outdoor play areas including a tennis & basketball courts, baseball field, indoor basketball court, indoor multi-use gym, which they use for exercise classes, as well as little kids play area, and a dog area which’s great for the dogs to run and play. They also have 2 bathroom areas which is great cause the park is always very busy all the time. Overall a great place. One thing I didn’t like was that they put up signs in their hallway area so no child care giver is allow to hang out and have a snack there. Very sad to have seen those prohibitions posted on their walls.

Yep, just keep an eye on 'em... i.e., there are things to climb, slides, people/kids on swings etc.

Yes it does, but it is not permanently out. They often have it out in the lobby.
