I made an appointment for my passport application and requested to have my photo taken there. The photo they took did not meet the passport requirements, and now I have to get a picture retaken and submit it again (to be fair i did think the picture was a bit far but i figured they of all people would know the requirements??? and didn’t think much more of it) how could this even happen 😭 everyone that worked there was very pleasant and nice, but this is so ridiculous lol

A couple things: first, the line definitely prioritizes passport inquiries/ applications. So if you are doing one of those, head here. If you want to mail a package, maybe go somewhere else. Second, I mailed a package there 10 days ago and thankfully put tracking on it. Says Noe Valley PO scanned it in - and yet now it has been sitting in their post office ever since. Never mailed it. Noe Valley does not answer their phone. And the national USPS line just says to call NV. Front line staff say to call USPS. It's a mess.

Cute old neighborhood post office. They sell boxes, bubble wrap packing, stamps, cards and more! Even during the pandemic they were very organized and helpful. Neighborhood people in line are also nice and practice social distancing despite not a lot of floor markers.

My PO Box is a safe and secure alternative to street delivery. The staff is available, friendly and long term, which means they know me. Adds to effective service. Lines occur when overseas deadlines are imminent, usually not a wait. I mailed 4 important boxes Express from 24th street to MI... there by noon the next day- all 4! This PO is great!
