Lived there for almost 4 years. First year was OK but went down hill quickly. Constant changes in management did not help. I lived on top floor and the roof leaked so bad that mold started forming and they had to move me down a floor. Management never seemed to want to help anyone. There was a shooting here a couple of years ago and to this day there is still bullet holes in the door frames. Rooftop pool was cool but was closed quite often due to maintenance issues. Absolutely would never live here again.

Why would you ask me to review my experience when my service request wasn’t fulfilled? I said that my apartment was cold and only cold air was coming out of the vents. That is still the case. And this isn’t the first time. This building has a lot of problems.

Viewed 414 Flats this week and let me say they have a lot of potential, they asked me to write a review on my experience 3-4 times now, so I will. Daryl is a great staff member, he was awesome and understanding. He informed us of the new management changes and how he also just started and wanted to let us know they're changing things up. Daryl informed us of the changes they plan to make like appearance of elevators, updated apartments as people move, and other things, I love that they're doing this but the current state is sub-par. I was concerned about if the show room looked anything like the other apartments, and if we would actually be able to get one of those apartments, the washer and dryer is one machine that can only run like 4 pairs of clothes at a time (which not bad but not sure if that is something i really want), the kitchen is very cramped, and there is no ceiling fan in the apartment. Things I love about this place: location, roof-top pool, bike racks, and storage. Things I don't enjoy: lighting, state of appearance as to date (hallways, one of the showrooms). I plan to look in again towards when were looking to move to see what improvements they've made. I think if management does everything they are planning to do this would be a great place to live.

I would strongly recommend against living here. I am a physician at a major hospital and I will advise all my colleagues not to live here. I have lived here 1 year and am looking forward to moving out! Here are my reasons: 1. The management blatantly lie to their tenants. They are also rude and discourteous. They never follow through on what they promise their tenants, or worse, ignore tenants altogether. 2. There are not enough parking spaces for residents. I have had to park at Earth Fare several times due to lack of space, especially on weekend nights. Guests are required to register for non-existing guest parking spaces. Resident vehicles are booted and towed with no warning. 3. Repairs to apartments are not made or take a long time. Cheap floor planks was wet and delaminated due to improperly installed washer/dryer. It took several months to have my complaint taken seriously by management. Once the leak was found, it took several weeks to have the floor replaced. I had to stay away from apartment for several days while glue vapors dissipated. Management refused to make adjustment in rent. 4. The threshold between the vinyl floor and bedroom carpet has exposed nails that if stepped on, would cause major injury. I have complained multiple times and it has never been fixed. I have had to put a towel over the floor to prevent stepping on it 5. The heating system went out for several weeks in February. It took several days to get a repair crew out to fix it and took them 2 weeks to complete repairs. We were never reimbursed rent for the days we were without heat. 6. Pounding due to ongoing renovations is heard throughout the day every day. 7. The pool is poorly maintained. It’s green and a health hazard. I've spoken to the Knox County health department and they will ensure compliance with the regulations. The picture is current as of the time this review was written (May 2018). 8. Security has been deficient. The locking mechanism on door was missing for several months. Anyone can come and go. Non-residents were regular users of the pool during the days that it was working last summer.

Coroletha, thank you for you interest in 414 Flats. We would love to see you call 414 Flats your home. We are minutes from downtown and we have your typical chains including local businesses around us. Our apartments are not furnished, but they do come with a washer/ dryer combo, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher and microwave. Would you like to set up a tour with Michelle, our Leasing Professional?
Rent just covers the rent amount. Our utilities are a set flat rate and vary depending on the size of the apartment home and if the apartment has gas appliances in it.
It varies based on your apt size. If you look in the website, it should list the full price of each type of apt along with the floor plan
