i’m sure this place at one time was well maintained but we stayed in a comfortable house but was lacking attention for the price required for it. Staff is super friendly, breakfast was good and included in the price. Wi-fi was very spotty, it’s quiet and quaint.

There was a misunderstanding at first when a very well-meaning employee upgraded me to a nicer room that wasn’t quite yet ready for guests. It was really just an issue of lack of communication. However, when I brought the issues with my room to their attention, they immediately fixed the problem (which is more than I can say for most places) and upgraded me even further at no additional charge! At every step of the way they were, hands down, the best customer service experience that I’ve had in a long time. It’s true that they haven’t fully recovered from the pandemic (they seemed short on staff), but their effort more than made up for any shortcomings. The grounds and tranquility are enough reasons to go back, but their hospitality was so above and beyond that we can’t help but want to return. We will definitely be visiting again!

It was an expensive mistake staying at the 1906 Pine Crest Inn. “Not what we expected for $380 dollars a night” would be a giant understatement. It was clean, but had a dilapidated feeling with uneven creaking floors, gross musty/stale smell, very low weird ceilings, dead-bolt door lock that didn’t work, very cheap wobbly furniture, a bathroom from 1960, and the toilet wouldn’t flush. Just to make sure we couldn’t sleep, the rickety mini refrigerator was placed at the foot of the bed and made an awful noise when the compressor came on every hour or so. I’m lying here, not sleeping, writing this review as I listen to it rattle and grind. If I don’t wake up with bed bugs I’ll be thrilled. We won’t be back.

This place is absolutely amazing and far exceeded my expectations. I wanted a different stay experience other than a hotel, and the cottage was just what I needed. If you go, definitely try an executive suite! Staff was more than accommodating and helpful. The coziness and homeliness of the cottage was epic.
