Stay Away from this place, as they don't cater to seniors at all! I tried on several occasions to book an appointment for my Mom (86), and kept getting the run around! I had to either cancel or reschedule so many appointments online, I finally called the manager (Jennifer, s/b Lucifer), who was very unpleasant and argumentative with me! When I complained to her about her poorly run shop, with nobody returning voice messages or confirming appointment times, she said I was exaggerating the issues, and seemed to defend her short-staffed shop by making an irrelevant comment that she'd been running the place (into the ground) for about 2 years or so! After our second conversation with this shop owner/manager, we were convinced they were prejudice against members of our senior community! Before hanging up, I promised an investigation would be launched immediately (at the nearby senior watchdogs/advocates, linked-up with the Citrus County Sheriff's Office) to look into these senior or age-related disparities that were painfully obvious to us! As we stated earlier, avoid this hair shop at all costs, unless being mistreated and ignored by immature store managers is your jam!? (those of you who know/follow my reviews of local firms, know this is not my usual style and grace). Very Truly, SteveMadden (defending my Mom's honor, Anne D.) UPDATE: We recently learned that similar complaints (to ours) were on file, suggesting this hair salon was NOT SENIOR-FRIENDLY! UPDATE TO OUR UPDATE: WOW! OMG! Yes, we are aware by reading through several complaints (reviews), that many others before us questioned the "Christianity claim" brought on by the owner/manager of this store? Then, with the owner's reply to my family with the "Christian" undertones...I hope (and pray) the big red flag that was just raised is seen plainly by all?! 🤔

It brings me no joy to write a negative review especially when the person that did my hair was a very kind person. This review has nothing to do with the cosmetologist character and is entirely based on the hair itself. After being a stay at home mom for 3.5 years, I am starting a new job. I wanted to spruce up my look from mom, to something chic and sophisticated. I made an online appointment where I was able to choose from several coloring options. After doing a little research, I chose the color melt because I wanted some dimension. When I arrived the stylist was honest and said he didn't feel comfortable in doing that technique and said it would be best if I just did an overall color. He chose something dark that matched my natural color. I figured, well.... Okay I guess. I was hoping he'd trim up my ends at the very least but once the color was rinsed the cape was removed and that was it.... I left with drenched hair, boring color and -$90. After coming home, and styling my same ole style and just having a basic dark head, my husband was LIVID!!!! And just so, I spend $90 on something that I could have easily accomplished on my own. I'm feeling pretty deflated from this experience. If you're considering using this salon I highly encourage you call and book your appointment, that way to ensure what you are seeking is something they feel comfortable with delivering. And in the future, if you don't feel comfortable with a technique offered on your online booking, please call the client ahead of time so they can decide if this is the right salon for them. Had that been the situation, I would have called a different salon and spent our hard earned money actually getting what I wanted.

I came to this salon for a trim. I indicated 2-2.5 inches that I wanted to be cut off. Showed a length desired at just below my collar bone. The stylist cut off 8 inches of my hair. I can't put it in a pony tail or bun (which is how I normally wear it) and the cut was so blunt/choppy that I had to fix it when I got home. Yes, there was more than 2 inches of of hair that was damaged, but there was no discussion of how I wanted to handle that. Just CHOP. I literally sobbed in the car on the way home. Having been a stylist in the past, I would NEVER have just started at 6 inches of length off the back of my clients' head. I would have started with 2 inches as requested, shown them the outcome and then discussed further if I felt that more needed to come off to maintain the health of their hair. Also, asking where a client parts their hair is a very standard question that I wasn't asked until they started cutting. I now have an a-line bob that I have to figure out how to hide until my hair grows back. ALL of that aside, not a single person was wearing a mask, no one asked me any questions about COVID symptoms or asked to take my temp. ZERO CDC guidelines being followed. This is incredibly irresponsible in a state where there are over 2 million cases and nearly 5k NEW cases per day. I will not be returning. I was already having a bad day and just wanted to be pampered with a wash, trim and style.
