Lived at the Upton for approx. 3 years. Moved out seemlessly, or so I thought! A year later, received a letter from a debt collector that I owe them monies. Final utility bill was paid using my banks bill pay service (for tracking purposes, as if I knew!!!). Bank sent me proof the check was cashed with the company's stamp on it. Contacted them to no avail. Reported to the BBB, to no avail. Stay Away!

Do not move here! Worst customer service & terrible sanitation! They show you the nice model apartments which is the only building they try to maintain clean to get you to sign your lease. Once you sign do not expect the same service from office employees you got before you signed!

My Mother and I literally moved out of this dump apartment complex because the lazy office workers don’t do their jobs, it’s the one’s that are in charge that’s destroyed this place. Every time my mother puts in a work order they either put it on completion without anyone coming to fix the issue or they take 4-6 weeks to come. My friend warned me to not let my mother live here because someone broke into her car and stole her stuffs a few years back. She said that the workers in the office will sabotage the tenants by making them feel uncomfortable so they can break their lease and move out so they can refer their own people to live in the complex. Nobody in the office seems to care, we even went and speak to the Regional Manager Michelle Bravo and she did not get back to us. I can’t believe that these are the people Maxx Properties hire to operate their business. Upton has definitely fallen, 12 years ago this place was immaculate but now the people that work in the office has destroyed the reputation of this place. Never will I come back.

Since me living here going on 30 days I have had nothing but problems. I have submitted 17 work requests 15 of them just my first couple of days that I moved in. This apartment was not move in ready at all. Here is an example. Hello, I submitted a request on Sunday 6/29for my kitchen sink being backed up. As of today Tuesday 6/30 evening the issue has not been resolved. I cannot cook not clean my dishes because of this issue. When will this be fixed? Am I going to get reimbursed for the take out expense I have taken, due to this lack of attention. I am going on one month at this property and let me say I am not impressed the amount of issues and request I have submitted is ridiculous for the short time I have been residing at this apartment. I would like to Schedule and appointment with the propert manager to again discuss my unsatisfactory tenure here.
