Fantastic spot, great patio and atmosphere, excellent food, and great drinks (who knew Turkey made such awesome wine?!). Our waiter, Haze, was superb - attentive, helpful and just genuinely nice - service went above and beyond in general. Overall, excellent experience for all three generations of the family, will undoubtedly be back!

Yayla was such a wonderful treat! We were looking for something new to try and found something absolutely welcoming and delicious. All the food was scrumptious and the wine was lovely. But complementing the fabulous menu was the gracious hospitality of the staff. Definitely recommend.

I loved this place ! We just got to VA from NY and we were starving. We ordered food 15 minutes to closing but the gentleman was so nice , did not seem annoyed at all. And the food was FRESH , all the spices and seasoning. I would definitely go again . We had a dinner meal for two .

The food here is exceptional! Fresh, very well seasoned and an overall beautiful dinning experience. Would come as often as every week! Delicious!

We are indeed closely following the CDC recommendations focused on preventing the spread of COVID-19 and want to assure you that the health and safety of our customers (and our staff) is always our top priority. Our servers are wearing masks , and get their temperature checked every shift.Instead of wearing gloves, they are washing their hands frequently with antibacterial soap.We have removed 50% of our indoor seating and have spaced the tables at least 6 feet apart. We do have air conditioning. We are also sanitizing the tables with a strong sanitizer and single use paper towels, and we routinely sanitize other hot spots around the restaurant such as door knobs, railings, and restrooms. In addition, we thoroughly clean and sanitize all surfaces in the kitchen continuously, and we treat all glasses, plates, and silverware with industry standardized sanitizer. We require our employees to stay home if not feeling well.

Next to the restaurant is a driveway that leads around a corner to a parking garage. After entering the garage, turn left to use the spaces reserved for retail parking.
"Yayla" is a Turkish word and it means "highland" in English. The soup contains yoghurt, rice, egg, flour and mint. Some of villagers migrate to highland to avoid from hot and feed their animals and collect herbs(e.g mint, thyme) in summer time. Probably highland is the place which "the highland soup" comes from
